However, the hotel is located along 2 highways and our request several days in advence for a quiet room was completely ignored. So,we spent pretty noise night there. "

"What a charming little Inn! It is very clean and lovingly maintained. The property is old but really is well kept, clean and homey. Colorful pansies and other happy flowers were planted in the planters. The room we stayed in (accessible) was small, but very cozy and well appointed. It was extremely clean, even in the corners behind the door. The tiles in the bathroom sparkled! The decor is simple country charming, white duvets/sheets, and pine furniture, (not mid century like the building), which IMHO lends to the coziness of the place. The continental breakfast is basic but enough to start your day (bagels/butter-cc, toast, jams, cereal, boiled eggs, mini muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice) and people filter in between 6 and 9 am. The staff/management are kind and friendly. On our first night, we needed some assistance with connecting the tv to wifi to stream a show, as it kept disconnecting. Someone was there in an instant to show us the trick. One night on our trip, unfortunately my husband got ill in the room.The next day, they kindly had housekeeping come in clean up and remake the room while we were out. Spotless! Pendleton is a cute cowboy town with a river and a big rodeo arena, all at the edge of the Umatilla Reservation. It is home to one of the original Pendleton Woolen factories (fun tours). There is lots of western history here- things to see, cute shops, and places to eat. "

"I LOVE the Pendleton Red Lion - sprawling classic building with amazing views. The rooms are old-school huge and nicely kept. Is it pristine perfect? No. Is it my favorite hotel in Pendleton? Absolutely!"
