"This house was nicer than the photos! It was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with implements to make a delicious surf and turf dinner. 1st floor bath had a wonderful shower and the queen beds were great. Host was very responsive and helpful. The view was breathtaking and the area had a lot to offer."

"The cookies was great, the sleep machines in the bedroom was amazing. The view of the River was beautiful and the convenience of the store made it very nice. Our Host was very friendly and had great communication with us."

"Using the red lined path, it was a half mile walk to the downtown area and plenty of shops/restaurants. got a reservation at the french goat which was very nice (get the burger) the place was very nice and clean and plenty of towels etc. the artwork was very interesting (in a good way). Keurig coffee machine for morning coffee a plus and they even provided some pods. got some firewood for the firepit but didn't use as in a weird location at the end of driveway somewhat close to the neighbors--....

"My cousin and I spent the weekend here to visit family in the area. The house was perfect for our needs and the proximity to family was minutes away. The owners are very responsive and friendly. We look forward to staying here in the future. I hope never stay at a hotel in Princeton or Blacksburg again if this is available. Thank you for everything. "

"If you are wanting to experience historic Lewisburg, WV in a beautifully restored home then the Lafayette House should be on your list. The owners hospitality made our stay extremely enjoyable. "

"Peaceful quiet area. Camper was comfortable. The host was fantastic and very responsive. All amenities were provided and spot on as listed. If youre a camper and enjoy the outdoors without hauling your own camper this is an excellent getaway.Explored the areas State Parks (Babcock SP, Hawks Nest SP, New River Gorge- did the Bridge walk, Rail Bikes in Elk River a must do, for all ages)Great place to explore. "This is the second time I’ve stayed at the bungalow. It is near the river and quiet. You do have a train that comes by often, but it was to the thrill and amazement of my 10-year-old. We walked down to the river and fished a lot, which is only 100 yards from the bungalow. If you’re looking for granite countertops and an eight persons Jacuzzi, this might not be the place for you. It’s just a quiet old farmhouse that is clean and functional for a small family. You’ll do a lot of front porch sitting, especially in the morning with your 1st cup of Joe. The local people were friendly and seemed to appreciate your presence. There’s a small eatery closer to Sandstone and Hinton. I will definitely stay here again in the future. The price is reasonable, and I really didn’t have anything to complain about other than the train rolling through about two in the morning, but after a few days, I didn’t even mind. "

"I was very thankful that this property was exactly as described. It was a getaway for my husbands birthday and he loved every minute of it. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was awesome. I've lost count of how many times we've arrived at a rental only to find the bare minimum was provided (and sometimes not even that!) but that was certainly not the case here. The row boat/canoe and gym area were my sons favorite. I adored petting and feeding the horses. We all loved hiking along the creek. It was a really peaceful stay all around!"

"A great place to visit to get out in nature. Really enjoy hiking all of the trails, although some of them are overgrown and not clearly marked (but it adds to the vibe and the maps on AllTrails are spot on). Rooms in the main lodge are spacious albeit a little old. But clean and comfy. Overall a great place for a weekend getaway with the kids. "
