"A beautiful country house run by a family with just 8 rooms just 2.5 km away from Potes. A good choice for one who prefers to stay a little bit away from the city centre. We chose this place because we drive and the very good price. It turned out to be a real gem as the owner and son went out of their way to give us very good recommendations for nature walks, etc. We also took an evening walk to Potes, which was 30 minutes each way. "A pretty drive in the country to get to this location which is quiet and relaxing. Our host was very gracious and helpful. We do not speak Spanish and he went out of his way to give us great recommendations for the area. Our dinner was vey tasty and well worth the extra charge. "We did not stay there because the information in the site was that this place is 6.1 miles from posada de valdeon which is misleading and since no one in the hotel could communicate with us in English when we called. Excellent hotel with tranquil setting
"Stopped for two nights with my husband on a motorbike trip to the Picos. We loved staying here. We had a beautiful balcony view looking out on to farm land and mountains and could hear the birds singing. So tranquil. Loved all the geranium window boxes. So pretty. Staff were very friendly and we got by with speaking English and a little Spanish! The accommodation was very clean and the beds very comfortable. We could have parked the bike in the garage as pre arranged but felt it was safe to leave the bike at the front of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, not a cooked breakfast , apart from fried eggs and pancakes on one day but plenty of choice and delicious. The restaurant for an evening meal was in a separate building up a hill on the other side of the road. It was only open 1 of the two nights we were there but the quality of the food was excellent and generous portions. The hotel was a perfect position for exploring the Picos and we preferred the more tranquil spot rather than stopping in Potes. Found it a bit tricky to find the entrance to the hotel at first. Think cars had to park on roadside but we could park the bikes in front of the property which was excellent. Wish we'd booked another night. Would I stay again...Yes, definitely. Sad to leave ."
