The Hen House, Portclew Cottages

The Hen House is a character conversion of an old farm building which would have been used to house hens. The nesting boxes are still visible in the bedrooms, although now just ornamental.

This cottage has two large bedrooms, one super-king double en-suite bedroom with ample space for a cot/extra bed, and one triple room with three single beds. The bathroom is situated on the first floor has a bath with a shower over.

The kitchen/diner has double aspect windows to make it light and airy and there is plenty of room for the family to sit and relax in the lounge.

We do not allow pets or the charging of electric vehicles.

Home from Home

Another great week at the Hen House. Thoroughly enjoy our yearly trip to Pembrokeshire, staying at Portclew holiday cottages. Fantastic location, especially if you enjoy walking, with the beach and cliff walks nearby and conveniently located for visiting the lovely Pembrokeshire coast. Everything you need for your stay is provided, with the additional touch of a thoughtful welcome basket. Thoroughly relaxing and feels like our home from home.

Just perfect

The cottage was spotless and we were provided with everything we needed for our stay. We rented the Hen House even though there was only two of us which gave us loads of space but there would still be loads if there are 5 of you. I cannot fault this location as it was so close to all amenities. I can't praise everything enough.

Our regrettably short stay in the Hen House.

Not for the first time we stayed in the Hen House. We were lucky to get the booking that we got due to the high demand of all of the cottages and rooms. The Hen House was just as expected, clean tidy, with the complimentary cider and Welsh Cakes. We were only booked for three nights, but Sarah and Cheryl got us a room in the main house for a fourth. Had a great time, that is why we come back when we can.
