"The lobby looks amazing and then you get to the room….one of the dresser drawers was broken and almost fell out, the light switches in the bedroom didn’t control anything, the cabinet door in the bathroom was broken, the water temperature was ridiculous in the shower, and I had asked for a white noise machine at check in and that as a long story of how I ended up getting one but not until the next night after a few texts and complaints where I was supposed to go pick one up and the girl had no idea what I was talking about and wanted us to stand there and wait for her to call her manager and I said to just send it up when she found it. Also, for the price they are charging not only should the rooms be in better condition, but they should have smart TVs not crappy ones that don’t even have the correct tv guide channel. I will definitely not be back."

"I cannot say enough great things about my stay! The rooms were spotless and spacious. We enjoyed the pools and the beachfront access. The beach area near the hotel was not overly packed either. The staff were very friendly. We were so pleased that we added an extra night. I will always stay at Hilton now!"

"Property offered a lot for the family. There is a beach entrance advertised; however, it was unavailable during my stay due to maintenance and we were not informed about it prior to/or at my check-in a few days ago. To include, the maintenance being done on the beach (water line replacement) the trucks worked through the night and kept waking my family up. Otherwise, the beach front property was nice and has a ton of potential for a week there is no maintenance."

"⚠️ Beware: Serious Security Concerns/Theft ⚠️ During my stay at the Shelby Hotel in Myrtle Beach, a pair of my designer sunglasses disappeared from my room between 7:00 PM and midnight on June 5. After reporting the incident, management provided a lock access report showing that at approximately 8:20 PM, a different guest key attempted to access my room. I was not on the property at that time and can document my whereabouts. (Watching the NBA playoffs) Despite this concerning information, I was told there are no cameras on the second floor and no further investigation was conducted beyond reviewing the lock report. I’m 100% confident that it a staff member was involved. What concerns me most is not just the missing property, but the apparent lack of security measures and follow-up. An unknown key attempted to access my room while I was away, yet there was no clear explanation, no meaningful investigation, and ultimately I was advised to file a police report on my own. As someone who travels frequently and works as an event planner, this is one of the most troubling hotel experiences I’ve had. Guests should feel confident that their belongings are secure and that potential security breaches will be taken seriously. If you’re considering staying here, I strongly encourage you to use your room safe, keep valuables with you, and be aware of the security concerns I experienced. Even for something as little as shades. The downside to that is your whole suitcase cannot fit in there."

"We stayed in the Paradise tower in a studio (2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa). The rooms was as described, but the sleeper sofa took up the entire extra space. There was not a lot of space for beach things (like toys, bags, etc). We were there for a basketball tournament so it fit our needs. We did enjoy the pools and close beach access."
