"The room was as shown in the pictures and it was comfy. This is a good place for stroking our fork if you’re into hiking and mountain biking. Located above “Out Out” restaurant it is a bit noisy and hot in the room but the windows open easily and let in plenty of fresh air. It did the job for a weekend for a solo traveller but it would be a bit of a squeeze for two adults - the under bed storage is big enough for bags etc and the bed itself was comfy. "We stayed in the Barmkin adjacent to the castle and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Upon arrival there was a power outage however this was swiftly dealt with by Scottish Power who installed a generator which ran faultlessly through the night until mains power was restored. Sandy and Katarina were both very helpful and made us welcome with nothing being too much trouble. We loved our stay at Neidpath and hope to return at some point soon."
