"Upon entry to the property I was surprised as it appeared quite quaint. The driveway leading up to it left much to be desired however as you need to backout of steep narrow entry onto the road. It is high up in the woods, so this may have been the problem that lead me to allergy and breathing issues. As I was unloading my car, my friend was trying to hook up the wifii, it never came up even after repeated communication and attempts. Breathing became difficult and the house was a bit musty so...

Joshua Tree Desert Getaway- with Hill Country views

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Joshua Tree getaway! Only issue was that the address in Vrbo brought up a gun range when put into Google maps, so we had to do a little extra driving. Once we pit in the address from the host it was easy to find. The cabin is very nice with a great view of the surrounding hills. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Very nice house with great views of the lake. Plenty of room for family and friends. The downstairs area was a plus with the game room and bunks. The owners were fantastic and communicated with me about the lake status during the recent floods. Definitely will stay here again."
Luxury Lake Travis Waterfront River Retreat: Heated pool, yard, pool table

"Our family enjoyed our week at River Retreat. On the positive side, the tech was sufficient for all our devises, the rooms were well laid out and clean, the kitchen was big enough for our family meals, and the dinning table fit all 11 of our crew. We loved the fire pit and pool as well. There were plenty of towels and supplies on hand. Our biggest let down was the river. Even with the July 4 floods, the river at the house was too low to float the dock and swim or fish. Lake Travis had come up 15 feet but the river was not flowing enough to mention. There were also 2 minor fixes that were not handled such as lighting in the primary bath and crepe myrtle flowers in the pool. When the up stair AC went out, the owner addressed it quickly and was able to fix it. No other problems occurred. "
"This is a hard review to write..we stayed here the weekend of July 4, 2025 watching the tragedy unfold not too far away in Hunt, Ingram, and Kerrville. So our trip was a little less celebratory. The house, though, accommodated us all very well as we were inside the whole stay due to rain. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were, great sleep was had by all. We cooked every meal and had plenty of pots/pans ect. Cute little house and would stay again. "
