"Always make a few night's stop in Santa Fe on the way back to Louisiana from trips out west. Of this type of authentic SW vibe hotel downtown, (walking distance) we've stayed at what IMO are the top three contenders. Old Santa Fe Inn, Las Palomas and Inn @ Vanessie It's a tight race. Value for the $$, Inn at Vanessie 100% The SW vibe is tied for #1 with Las Palomas, Old SF Inn a close 3rd. It's important, since to equal the breakfast offering off site at any of the 3 would cost a couple $30-$40. Las Palomas the clear winner here Old SF Inn, safe #2 and while Vanessie has an impressive breakfast when compared to a normal hotel, it just isn't in the league of the other two. You can't go wrong here, we arrived early, were given special attention, walked to our room by the host and had an incident free, perfect stay. Disregard older negative reviews, there were changes around a year ago that make Inn @ Vanessie a top contender for #1 stay in Santa Fe if you are looking for true Southwestern themed property in close proximity to downtown action. Five Stars"

"The hotel is very charming and the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Plenty of parking on premises, no extra charge. Free shuttle on demand anywhere within 1 mile radius, which was great for going to the Historical Plaza area or Canyon Road. The driver even gave us a short tour of the Canyon area. We could have easily walked from the Hotel to both those areas too. The rooms were a nice size and up to date. There is strong wifi, and nice pool with hot tub. The staff puts a big water jug infused with fruit by the pool. There is a good lobby for hanging out. We saw a fire pit but not activated and no chairs around it.There is fresh coffee out every morning. We went to a couple of great restaurants nearby and to a delicious bakery accross the street. Overall a really nice hotel."
