Villa Iside is a farmhouse dating back to 1878, immersed in the splendid setting of the green hills surrounding the Valdera. Originally constructed as a farmhouse, surrounded by outbuildings used as barns and animal shelters, it has been brought back to life after careful restoration. The interiors, where the floors in antique terracotta, the vaulted terracotta ceilings on the ground floor or those on the first floor with cypress beams and terracotta tiles have been preserved, are furnished with particular sobriety and attention to detail, blending harmoniously with the extraordinary simplicity of the materials of rural origin of typical Tuscan buildings. From the windows of the house and from the pool area, nature offers a wonderful panorama, starting from the garden and stretching as far as the eye can see over the undulating hills surrounding the house, forming a harmonious blend of shapes and colours. The guests of this elegant farmhouse can decide to relax in this oasis of peace and natural well-being, but at the same time seek exciting diversions thanks to the advantageous geographical position which make it possible to quickly reach the main art cities of Tuscany, such as Florence, Pisa, Siena and Lucca, as well as the medieval borghi of San Gimignano, Volterra and Peccioli. Wellness enthusiasts can relax in the thermal pool of Casciana Terme while golfers can play in the beautiful panoramic golf club of Castelfalfi.
Interior:
The house has two floors connected by a stone staircase. The main entrance, located on the side of the parking area found on reaching the villa, leads into an atrium that leads, on the left, to the beautiful living room with sofas, fireplace and TV area and, on the right, to a large open-plan space with dining area and well-equipped kitchen facing out onto the portico. The ground floor, completed by a guest bathroom and a laundry area, has multiple French windows that allow continuous communication between inside and outside, from the living room and kitchen; in fact, there is direct access to various areas of the garden. The sleeping area, located on the first floor, is composed of a double bedroom with ensuite bahtroom with tub, two doubles with ensuite bathroom with shower, a twin bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower, and an elegant living area. Park:
The park surrounding Villa Iside is embellished with large lawn areas and bordered by hedges to guard your privacy, all surrounded by vast expanses of wheat and cypress trees that will frame your unforgettable holiday. In the large garden you will be greeted by an explosion of colourful flowers while a corner dedicated to aromatic herbs will be at your disposal to create the typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine. Inside the park are many shady areas which, combined with the outdoor dining and living area under the pergola, will allow you to spend much of your time outdoors.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool is located in the inner garden of the property, in a panoramic position overlooking the surrounding green hills.. Bordered on the perimeter by a lush hedge, it is located on a higher level than the house and can be reached up a few steps. The pool, measuring 6 x 12 m with the depth varying from 1.40 to 2.30 m, is lined in PVC and has a chlorine-based purification system, internal and external lighting and Roman steps for access to the water. There is also a cold-water shower. Surrounding the pool is the porphyry-tiled sunbathing area, equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, creating the perfect setting for relaxing and admiring the beautiful shades of colour reflected by the sun, but also for enjoying the cool in the evening hours, with a good glass of wine, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The swimming pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.
