"Place is clean, but needs serious updating. The website says your room has a view of the castle... it actually is a view of the parking lot. If the castle is meant for relaxation, why do delivery trucks wake you up at 6:30am? Who do they put guests right on top of each other when the place is nearly vacant? Why don't the toilet seats stay up because the handle is in the way? Why is the shower so small and with no shelf to hold soap or shampoo? And if this is a place of learning and...

"Lovely little pub hotel, cute rooms and the nice side door to reach the rooms so you don’t have to walk through the pub. Breakfast was lovely, free parking for guests, All in all a really lovely stay, we will definitely stay again. "

Dangerously hot, although there is a warning sign. Didn’t risk using the shower in case I couldn’t control the temperature so I managed without. Otherwise fine, thank you. "

"Our room was very nice with a comfy bed, ensuite bathroom, tea & coffee and a little fridge. Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. A really good base for a weekend in Hastings with the added bonus of free parking and friendly hosts."

We stayed for two nights for a short weekend retreat, the views outside were stunning and the inside of the house was just as beautiful, everything was clean and tidy. If you are looking for somewhere to relax with peace this is definitely the place to go! We are definitely wanting to return again! "
