"Really lovely hotel in the perfect location and great staff. Lovely terrace and gardens to enjoy a drink on a sunny afternoon. Can genuinely say all the staff were helpful and friendly- they really make this place. The only downside is it desperately needs a lick of paint outside. Can't really grumble about the interior, just the odd tired looking bit of furniture here and there but its the outside that would benefit the most from a little tlc"

"Booked just a couple of hours ahead post a week in Cornwall and wanting to see Exeter before heading home Sunday. Great location and handy for stations, the quayside area and shops. We saw the cathedral and visited the super underground passages. Also took the train to Exmouth. Breakfast was included but was SO busy and queues were v long. Staff worked hard managing this v professionally but I felt for them as it simply was chaotic! Ok quality though but I prefer no dogs in the dining area even if they are staying in the hotel. One was barking :( We didn’t realise we had to pay for parking - £16 for a 24 hour stay - no guarantee of a spot either but we were lucky but bear that in mind. Air con was good on a hot night. "

Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches that really added to the experience. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The location was ideal for exploring, but also offered a peaceful retreat when we wanted to unwind. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and are already looking forward to coming back! "

"Easy to access, plenty of free parking, and excellent pool. However, the walls are quite thin, and on 3/5 nights other tourists decided to delay our sleep for hours. On the bright side, when I complained to the reception about this, the disturbance ended within 15 minutes, so well done to the reception crew. Would i return here? Probably not, but for others it would be perfect"
