Ladies' Weekend Away
There is so much to say about this property that is positive! The house is beautiful and we especially loved the enclosed porches, watching the birds in the trees at eye level, and beautiful landscaping of the whole neighborhood. The yard crew was working hard the entire time. The main negative thing I have to say is that the female officer at the entrance was rude and seemed to take issue with VRBO renting out homes in the gated community, and reportedly not communicating with the guard shack. We were given only two entrance code sheets by the agents, though the rental office knew our party of 8 would arrive in 5 different cars and should have known we'd EACH need one (plenty of room to park those, BTW). I had to go to the gate three separate times and prove I'd rented the home and that these were registered friends. I would also suggest getting a water filter for the home, since the fridge doesn't dispense water. If I were being picky, I'd point out that painting around the toilet seats/wallpaper screams "tacky" and every lady commented on the unfinished/lazy paint job. It was a great vacation, though, and we'd rent this property again. The beach is a short walk and it's a nice place to swim. We also used a pool for water aerobics, and visited the state park up the road. The check-in and out process with the rental agency was quick and easy, since there's a code on the door. I would have given a full 5 stars if the guard shack officer hadn't been so unpleasant.
