"We enjoyed the peacefulness of the quaint boutique Oak Hill Inn close to the heart of Julian. Set in lush greenery on a quiet street on the side of a hill, the inn includes an even quainter pool and DIY "honor system" tavern. The center of town is a mere 5-10 minute uphill walk (or 1-minute drive). "This is a sweet little cottage with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay in Borrego Springs, right down the street from Christmas Circle, near restaurants and trails. It was spacious and clean, and cleverly decorated. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning."
