"The property and house are more charming than the pictures- we’ve stayed at lot of rental properties and this has been the best.The quality of the furnishing and linens are top notch (new outdoor patio furniture not pictured). kitchen well stocked. Lots of dishes, cups etc. but also lots of pots and pans for any thing you’d need. The home is like an adult treehouse- split over multiple levels with all rooms but the bedrooms open. This was great to have separate spaces for activities, while still feeling connected. Grandparents read books on the couch in the main family room while teens played games in the “board room” on the upper level at night. We vacation with my parents & 2 of my brothers and their families, with kids ages 1yr to college. Enough seating for everyone in the kitchen, and enough places to sit and hang out all week. Plenty of bathrooms. Never felt like we were on top of each other. mother in law suite with it’s own bath that is on the other side of the house- my brother with young kids slept there since their kids went to bed early and got up early- nice to have that separate space. Beds very comfortable and each bedroom has separate A/C temp control. boat launch is very convenient -we pulled the boats and went to different lakes for fishing. Water was warm and crystal clear. Kids had fun catching frogs and turtles.Property manager on site great with communication, very kind. Emptied trash a few times during week. "

"The home was beautiful, met all our needs, the spacious and quiet yard let us escape and relax. Ashley offered quite a few local places to see. We would highly recommend staying and make sure to ask the locals of all the hidden gems that can be found in the area."

"After 3 nights in the Porcupine Wilderness the Bobcat Cabin was the perfect place to come back to. It was cozy and had everything we needed. Its simplicity and self-reliance makes it the perfect nature getaway. We were there when it rained and the hosts have made it the perfect spot to curl up with a book or take a midday nap. They were also very accommodating and responsive. We can’t wait to get back and explore more of the nearby trails. "We rented the VRBO for overflow guests. The proximity to our house worked well for us. The VRBO has limited cooking options but that wasn’t a problem as the guests came to our house to eat. They seemed to enjoy their stay at the VRBO. "

"This was a great place to stay as we hiked the traphills on the north country trail! The large entry room was a great location for all of our hiking gear. Having the bar next door for a quick drink or food helped after a long hiking day too. "

"If you are looking for an actual Northwoods experience, this is the place. I have been visiting the Northwoods of Wisconsin since 1992 and have stayed at many locations. All have their pros and cons. Pros: It is located on a great lake for fishing and is close to other attractions, such as waterfalls and touristy towns like Boulder Junction. Cons: Bring your own drinking water, as the rust is severe on this property, which is typical. Oh, the mosquitos are the state bird up in Valis County, and again, that is just par for the Northwoods. Bottom line, I will be going back to Idyllic this year. Chris has made the cabin very dog-friendly. "
