"We had a great week here. The house as everything we needed and more. Lovely play area and lawn for the children to play which was a real bonus. Only 65 mins from Disney and an easy motorway drive, (about 9 Euros peage each way). Dormans itself doesn't have too much to offer for tourists but Epernay and Reims are close by and Paris also possible for day visits. Also there are other chateau not too far away but after many excursions it felt great to return to the house and just chill, and play...

"We had a wonderful time, Sylvie was very nice and helpful. The house had everything we needed, comfortable bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and relaxing sitting area. Unfortunately due to the weather we did not make use of the outdoor space but that area also looked lovely. Hopefully we will be back again to explore more of the area."

"This Gite is one of our favorites and it was the second time we’ve stayed there. The owners are lovely and so accommodating. They provide more than you need for a comfortable vacation and true French experience. For all of you history buffs, it’s only one town over from Belleau a huge WWI site (battle of Belleau Bois). It’s so close to Paris however there’s no reason to go there since there’s so much to do in this region alone. You must have a car to enjoy but that’s true of the countryside....

"As this was a new property in VRBO with few ratings, we had to wait to see what the property was like. In short, it was splendid! The accommodation is located in a small village of 300 people. The lodgings were impeccably clean and room sizes were very large - truly a 3-bedroom house with large kitchen, dining room and salon. The beds, always important, had comfortably firm mattresses. "Very neat old house in the garden of the abbey and next to the house of the property owner. Very warm welcome, great parking spot for the car and walking distance to the local boulangerie and shops. Good location for champagne wine tours. The towns (Essome-sur-Marne as well as Chateau-Thierry) are not as lovely as the small villages on the Montagne de Reims. Great walking routes in the area with lots of WWI and WWII historical sites."
