"I reached out to the property two weeks before our trip to ask about a balcony and was told they would do their best to accommodate us with a Juliet balcony at no additional charge. When we arrived, there were no notes about the request, but the front desk told us they could accommodate it if we waited three hours for the room to be ready. We were completely fine with waiting and left to keep ourselves busy. However, when we returned, we were given a first floor room with a "patio" instead. When we opened the curtain, there was a man standing directly outside looking into our room, which immediately made us uncomfortable from a privacy standpoint. The staff did help move us to another floor, but the new room only had a small window and no balcony. The room was also very warm. Although the hotel advertises A/C, we were told it is central for the entire building. During our five-night stay, we had to sleep with the windows open every night, which would not have felt comfortable or safe in the first floor room. The bathroom counter space is also very limited, especially if you bring skincare and makeup products. Our key cards deactivated three separate times despite keeping them away from our phones, so we repeatedly had to return to the front desk. That said, the property itself is beautiful, the location is excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. I just wish the balcony request and room situation had been handled more clearly."

"This was our fourth stay at the lodge. The staff is always friendly, comfortable and clean room. Great balcony with a great view. Enjoy the heated pool and hot tub. Nice bar and restaurant. We’ll be back."

"I would definitely make sure your deadbolt works on your door. After being moved to the 2nd floor, we felt safer however the cleanliness of the carpet definitely needs some work. The staff was very helpful."

"The bed was super firm, but other than that, it was a wonderful stay. The room was spotless and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, proving fans was so helpful. We will definitely be staying here again!!"

"This is an older hotel in Vail. Very large property. I think it's a great value for what you get. The property is definitely older, but our room was clean and comfortable. Easy parking which is huge in Vail. Great location as it's right between Vail Village and Lion's Head...you can walk easily to both. Really nice Bar and Grill and what looked to be a pretty yummy Indian restaurant on location. Great pool and jacuzzi. This is one of the better values in Vail I think. We would definitely stay here again. Ask for a room that faces the mountains. The other side has some I-70 traffic noise."
