Also, I had a couple of days without hot water because the hot water heater is solar and it rained for a few days. Nevertheless, the views from the hotel were beautiful. "

This is ideal for anyone seeking privacy, luxury, and an authentic Jamaican experience.As a single parent traveling with a teenage daughter, safety, cleanliness, and clear communication were essential, and Amelia’s exceeded expectations. The house is fully solar-powered with strong Wi-Fi. Although AC is available, we never needed it. The fans and cool mountain evenings kept the villa comfortable.Despite hurricane Melissa affecting nearby areas, the property itself was unaffected. We experienced a brief water interruption, which was resolved quickly, and the staff was extremely responsive.Access to the villa involves several stairs, so it may be challenging for guests with mobility issues. We forgot our mosquito repellent and regretted it. The team arranged an onsite hair braider for my daughter at a very reasonable rate. We provided the hair and tools, and the results were excellent. Natalie, the chef, was also available for off-property requests for a fee, and we reimbursed her for items purchased on our behalf, which made it easy to fully relax. Giovanni, the grounds manager, was always available, and Lorraine and team were attentive while still giving us privacy.Communication before and during our stay was excellent.
