"I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel. It’s clearly just been renovated and is in excellent condition. Whilst in the centre the walk from the hotel to the main centre ( 10 minutes ) is through an ‘interesting’ area , not unsafe but definitely didn’t feel comfortable. The room I had was a duplex which I wasn’t aware of when I booked with the toilet downstairs which was strange as was in the hotel basement . There was an emergency exit door which is fine but they should state clearly...

"The hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished in keeping with the style of the property but with all the modern conveniences and the staff are all so friendly. Breakfast was delicious and there is an excellent restaurant next door for dinner. Its an easy 15 minute walk through the park opposite to the town center and I felt very safe as a single female."

Whilst in the centre the walk from the hotel to the main centre ( 10 minutes ) is through an ‘interesting’ area , not unsafe but definitely didn’t feel comfortable. The room I had was a duplex which I wasn’t aware of when I booked with the toilet downstairs which was strange as was in the hotel basement . There was an emergency exit door which is fine but they should state clearly it’s a one way door . I also felt the cheap wall hair dryer was very dated and not functional for a 5 star hotel . And thanks for being Pet friendly and not chargi by extra . "
