"Nice, big room with a very comfortable queen bed. There was a pullout couch with bedding & pillows, and a recliner. Also a kitchen with dishes, glassware, coffee cups, and utensils. A coffee maker full size fridge with freezer, small sink and a 2-burner stove. I had to be in Rochester for a Monday & Friday procedure at the hospital, so the stay was from Sunday until Friday. We used the pool and hot tub. The room was very quiet the entire time. Sink and vanity are separate from the toilet & shower. The seating area off the lobby also has a library & business center with tables & chairs and other comfortable furniture and TV. The complimentary breakfast is a nice feature. The outside patio off the seating area has nice tables, chairs and a bench swing. There is underground parking. There were many channels to choose from on the TV, but the TV seemed a little small. This was a convenient and nice place to stay, and very close to St. Mary's hospital. I'd stay again even for a leisurely trip."

"Our room had old, well used carpet. It felt a bit damp. The building is older, so there are cracks and paint chips. However, I felt the room and bedding was clean. The breakfast was good. Staff was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed the pool on a hot day."

Kahler Grand Hotel

"The location really can’t be beat. Fantastic shower pressure and a comfy bed made for a fine stay if that is what you are looking for. However, I had no reservation ahead of time but walked in after fining a great rate online. The front desk quoted me a rated that was 27% higher and stated she couldn’t match the online price but I could book it online and check in. Ok. I booked the reservation on Expedia and then proceeded to wait at the counter for 10 mins while she was helping someone on the phone. It seems more staff would be helpful as a small line formed behind me. Two reasons for the four stars along with the check in: the view—it was of a rooftop with utilities. Not in the distance, just right out the window, no other thing in sight. No sidewalk, no other building, just a rooftop (I was on floor two). Lastly, the hallways were confusing to find elevators and parking ramps. This is the only hotel I’ve ever been to that does not have signage for these items. No sign stating rooms 100-125 to the right, 125-150 to the left. Seems so basic and was a big miss for me."
