1832 Carriage House, meticulously remodeled, in the center of Blue Hill

"We had a truly spectacular stay at Kate and Denny's property. They are extremely thoughtful and gracious hosts. The house is extremely comfortable, with plenty of seating (both indoors and outdoors) for both dining and relaxing. It is extremely clean. The kitchen is well-equipped with cooking tools (including pots, pans, dishes) as well as oil, vinegar, spices, and butter (of which they encourage use). The showers are excellent, with great water pressure, and the towels are fantastic. There is a fire pit they encourage guests to use, as evidence by their provision of graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows, and skewers for s'mores; there is also plenty of wood and kindling. The location is also perfect, with a lovely hiking trail that leads to the Blue Hill Co-Op, and many other attributes (e.g., Blue Hill Books, Bucklyn Coffee, Blue Hill Wine Market) within walking or short driving distance. There's even a baseball field and basketball court a short drive away. We would stay here again and again if we could. Thank you Kate and Denny!"

"I stayed in Tiny Cabin which is perfect for solo travel. There was a glitch with VRBO and they charged me for a double occupancy. The host went above and beyond assisting me in a resolution. The pigs on the farm were amazing to watch. And great company. Impossible to be lonely with animals around. I was up for a family member’s wedding. The drive was a bit far to the town of Bar Harbor but I got used to it quickly. It was actually nice to be able to get away from the hustle & bustle of the wedding party. The farm is a peaceful retreat."

"The Apartment at Arborvine is a lovely property. Comfortable and tastefully furnished with all the necessary amenities for one person or a couple, plus a perfect location to access and enjoy all that Blue Hill and the surrounding communities have to offer, as well as close proximity to Acadia National Park. The host, John Hikade, could not have been more accommodating and responsive when I had to modify my dates and the check-in and departure process was easy and seamless. I highly recommend this property. Many thanks!"

"Super clean and comfortable - close to town but still very quiet. The apartment is in a separate building next to the host's house. It is spacious and beautifully appointed. Everything was wonderful - highly recommended!"
