Property was not as advertised. Shoddy customer service. Location is the only positive.
The location is excellent. But that is the only real positive for this property. We were disappointed that our host, Islam Djellaoui, did not greeting us on arrival. He merely gave us instructions over the phone. On the third day of our week-long stay we found the ‘manual’ explaining how the appliances worked. The manual stated that there are two sets of keys – which are extremely useful for a group of 5. But Islam said that only one set of keys was ‘available’.
This property is definitely not as advertised. It stated as having three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are NO bedrooms. There was a double bed in the open basement, a pull-out double bed in the living room and one single mattress in two small open lofts - accessible via steep stairs and were about 4 feet high – necessitating crawling on hands and knees. These are better suited for a 16 year old rather than a 60 year old. There are two showers and one toilet. The toilet was smaller than a phone booth. There was no privacy except in the toilet or the shower.
The kettle, coffee machine and the dishwasher did not work. There was only one tea towel, no paper towels, no garbage bags, and only six rolls of toilet paper for five people for a one week stay. When we texted Islam regarding the deficiencies, he stated that he will inform the owners, but we never heard from the owners. After a few more texts with Islam, he stopped responding altogether. True to form, he did not see us on our departure.
