"We arrived on a rainy foggy day for one night. Check in was easy & straightforward. The location is terrific and our room had a beautiful view (when its not so foggy!) The Gigi bar was very helpful. Loved the room and the decor- wish we could have stayed longer."

"Accueil rapide (nous mentionne de l’appeler s’il y a quoi que ce soit… mais où est ton numéro ??), air clim trop petite pour la grandeur de la chambre et extrêment bruyant (plus de 30 degrés de jour). Propre, pas d’ascenseur, pas de frigo, lit ok. Parfait pour l’emplacement même si ce n’est pas évident à trouver comme hébergement. Merci "

"Das Altstadthaus hat viel "Cachet". Der Empfang und die Betreuung waren sehr nett. Im neu renovierten Zimmer im Nebentrakt "Torre" fühlten wir uns sofort wohl. Auch die kleine Küche war sehr praktisch. Und das Frühstück ist für italienische Verhältnisse tatsächlich aussergewöhnlich reichhaltig und gesund (viele Früchte). Gerne wieder einmal!"

"We arrived in the dark and parked in the lot nearby the church, there is no parking at the site and we walked about 3 minutes, but the walk is down a stone alley that is picturesque and felt safe. The area is very rustic and we simply called the number at the gate to be let in. No one was around but it was easy to pick up our key after calling for instructions. The area was nice and quiet but there are no walkable food options."

"Wow! This is a magnificent hotel in every way! It is beautiful, luxurious and filled with old world elegance. Our room was beautiful with lovely views of the lake. The breakfast was one of the most expansive and delicious spreads that I’ve seen. I could not recommend this more highly!"

"We had an amazing 6-day stay at Hotel Funicolare. The family suite provided to us was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The location is excellent — just a short drive to both Lake Como and Lugano. The views from our rooms were absolutely breathtaking. The staff was friendly, courteous, and always helpful. We also enjoyed the good breakfast each morning. We look forward to returning to this hotel in the near future. Sharing a photo of the beautiful view from each room!"
