"Fantastic location, spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast, and most of all - Lidia! The best host ever. The views of the quarries and city center from the room terraces are superb. "
"It is a lovely place. The owner goes a long way to make you feel at home: the extra touch of the free drinks in the kitchen was particularly appreciated. I would definitely go back."
"Perfect escape destination for couples and families. Super nice people and beautiful amenities. The rooms were big and very clean. Their beach club is outstanding. Also, in addition to yhe early check-in they gave us a free room UPGRADE !! When we checked out they also gave us a little good bye gift. Absolutely coming back again the next time i visi Italy. Thank you Villa Roma Imperiale team. "
"Very helpful and nice staff. The bartender gave us lots of info on where to go and everyone was very anxious to please. Parking was a bit challenging but we were given a pass to park on the street. Delicious and varied breakfast. "
"Quiet, suburban area. Host was great, English not so good but neither was my Italian! Managed to communicate. Had breakfast the one morning and it was really good value for E7 each. 12 minute walk to the square. Some noise if guests are awake early but that’s to be expected in a B&B. Shutters on the window kept the room dark when sleeping. A/C worked well and was quiet when I switched the swing function off. Parking was fine."
"Charming & delightful hotel with friendly staff and filled with wonderful art! Beautiful courtyard garden where we had a delicious breakfast. Wholeheartedly recommend; we’ll be back for sure. "
"The location was great - just a 10 min bike ride into town. The staff were top notch - they were all so amazing to deal with and really took care of you. The only disappointment was the room for how much I paid for it. I was expecting it to feel a bit more high end. It was a comfortable bed. The bathroom was tiny (if you are using the toilet your legs are pretty much touching the shower). Very basic otherwise. The lobby and breakfast and pool areas were nice and lots of bikes to rent. 10/10 Excellent
"Only stayed for one night but wished I had booked for longer. Staff creates very relaxing atmosphere especially pool area. Spent most my time just relaxing at pool snacking and drinking, loved it. If I am back in Massa for extended stay will definitely look to get room here."
"I currently in my second stay with this hotel. The staff has been the best part especially as a foreigner that doesn’t speak Italian. They have aided me with friendly enthusiasm in a couple of problems outside their scope to which I am very grateful. The accommodation large, modern and clean. There is an excellent courtyard with numerous sitting options for relaxing outside.
Definitely recommend this hotel I will likely be back here in a year.

"Close to a free beach. Other than that very dated. Bathroom very small; and I mean small. Breakfast blah. Very noisy throughout the night with couples arguing. It did have air con which was noisy.
Tip- close the bathroom door and put toilet lid down because it cuts down on the awful sewer smell."
"The hotel was lovely with beautiful views of the ocean across the street. The staff was very cordial and helpful. It was clean and the breakfast in the morning was phenomenal. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling in this area. "
"Family stayed for one night and we were very impressed. Spotless clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was simple but very tasty. I would stay here again."
"This beautiful resort was full details thoughtfully crafted by the team to create a restful, luxurious experience. The brand new facility and beautiful views are pristine. The staff was very attentive to cultivate the perfect experience for us! "
You can study the exhibits at Malaspina Castle, a museum with a story of its own, during your trip to Massa. Wander the beautiful beaches and seaside in this quaint area.
