"The views are stunning and the Villa is charming and stocked with everything you need to be self sufficient. The hosts are warm and friendly and made the trip extra special for all of us. Monica made us mind blowingly good dinners several nights, and be forewarned, there will be so much food that you will have enough to feed you lunch and breakfast the next day. Everything is organic and extremely locally sourced, and she makes all of her own cheeses from her flock of sheep and goats. Giovanni's safari of the remote Italian villages in the area, far from the tourist crowds, was a big highlight of the trip. Grazie mille to all of the residents of Villa Lean, including the dogs and BeBeee."

"We did a lot of research to find both a good location for day trips, as well as a villa where the 15 of us could relax and enjoy our time together. Our stay at Buralla was everything we hoped for. The villa: very spacious; pretty inside; beautiful grounds and views; great kitchen. Simon the host: extremely responsive; provided helpful recommendations; very easy to communicate with. Antonella/chef: So helpful and friendly; delicious menus; did all the work for us allowing us to just enjoy. Daniele: very nice and helpful; maintained the grounds beautifully. Just loved it."

"House was super clean and comfortable. Assistant Monica was incredibly helpful and kind and spoke some English. She not only gave great information but dropped off a cake for my daughters birthday. The home had all the conveniences of home along with much more. This was super conveniently located and close to Lucca and Pisa. An hour away from a few more line Florence and CinqueTerra and more. Comfortable for ten. Great little restaurant close as well. We really enjoyed our stay. Cheers We will be back."

"The property is very well equipped and comfortable. It wasn’t warm enough to go for a swim at this time of year but the view and outlook is beautiful and very near to Lucca, Pisa and Florence. We had friends come and stay for a few days with us too. Stephania is very pleasant and accommodating."

"Our extended family of 22, including an infant and two toddlers, stayed in this beautiful, well appointed villa in the hills above Lucca during the Christmas holiday. The villa was perfect for multiple couples / families as there were clusters of rooms with a common area located throughout the two story villa which allowed for privacy. Every room had its own bathroom as well. The home and rooms were beautifully decorated. The views and grounds were spectacular. The host and owner were extremely responsive to our questions and needs throughout our stay. The lovely historic town of Lucca was a short drive away. There were markets, restaurants and wineries near the villa as well. The indoor pool and sauna were well used by our group. The host provided many recommendations including a cooking class by Tamara done at the villa — it was a great experience for the group! Also I highly recommend the wine tour and lunch at a nearby local organic winery and olive oil farm at Frattoria Colle Verde. I highly recommend this Villa."

"We arrived Nov 10th and the check in was wonderfully communicated, we used the Whatsapp messenger and the property owners were super thorough on everything! (Thank you Lisa and Luca)....Once we walked in the door it was literally like the two dimensional pics from the listing burst into three dimensions...Everything was exactly as it was advertised. The home was immaculately clean, the views....oh the views were something of dreams, and everything you needed was there, coffee maker, pots/pans, dishes and glasses, everything you could need was right there....This was our "home-Base" for the first 5 of 10 Days in Italy and the bar was set very high for the second home after staying here :).....My wife even reached out to the property owner to have a bottle of Prosecco chilled and on the table to celebrate our arrival and our wedding anniversary that day....Such a lovely home, and home owners....The home is situated so you are removed from the city feel, yet close enough to visit Florence (1.5hr), Pisa (1hr), Lucca (1.25hr), and many little towns in between....We absolutely loved staying here and recommend this property to anyone looking to be centrally located in Northern Tuscany, while also being immersed in the beauty of the mountains...Thank you again Lisa and Luca!!"
