"We enjoyed our stay overall—the location is incredible and the views are stunning. The top floor is beautiful, though it could use some maintenance.The deck has amazing views but needs major repairs. The outdoor recliners are quite old, and the umbrella was broken. Downstairs is spacious, but the bedding wasn’t very comfortable, and having to bring our own linen at this price was unexpected.There is direct access to the lake, but the path is extremely steep—only very fit people would manage the walk down and especially back up.We also experienced a power outage, which meant no electricity or water for around seven hours since the pump relies on power. For a house of this size, a backup generator is essential. It took 1.5 hours to get a response from the host, the phone number listed was disconnected, and we were told there was no generator or local support. A clear emergency plan and a reachable local contact are needed.The property has amazing potential, and with some maintenance and better emergency support, it could be an exceptional stay."

"Nature at its best! The property was clean and had everything in it. We received a welcome board with some beautiful jam, coffee pods and soaps but the kangaroo food was an extra touch. Kids were super excited. The pool and spa kept the kids entertained, loved the use of free bikes to ride, and kayaks etc. just a wonderful couple of days. "

"This beautiful holiday home is so graciously set up by the owners! You feel so welcomed by them via messages and communication is always open if any issues arise, which there were none, but they were just so open to be there if needed It’s very comfortable, plenty of comfy couch space for the whole family, beds were comfy, the front room has a lovely ensuite, you’ve got no worries at all about staying warm or cool as it heats up and cools down well with their split system, we didn’t get to use the wood fire wasn’t that cold, but an added beautiful option to have! Kitchen is so spacious with the added bonus of an induction stove top! Heats up so quickly and soooo easy to clean! You have the added benefits of a sandwich press and proper coffee machine with coffee bean grinder, dishwasher and everything just works so well!The whole house is just set up so well, and the setting is gorgeous with bush land around and wildlife galore, kangaroos, rabbits and rosellas that come to their bird eater with seeds provided in their cupboard.If you truly want a relaxed and refreshing time away, this is the place!! With visits to the beach so close and being able to hear the distant waves in bed at night was a special childhood memory for me spending so much of my childhood at Harmers Haven, Wonthaggi.Also the option of being able to have our 2 dogs with us just meant so much, so just another great and special option the owners are good enough to allow!We’ll be back-5 stars from us!"
