JOIA Aruba by Iberostar

"We had a wonderful stay at JOIA Aruba by Iberostar. We stayed in the Royal Suite, which was absolutely gorgeous—spacious, beautifully designed, with an incredible ocean view and huge wraparound balcony. The resort is beautiful and well maintained, but the staff truly stood out. A HUGE shout-out to Ludmar, our butler. He was absolutely AMAZING and provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. He went above and beyond, was attentive, kind, professional, and genuinely cared about making our vacation special. Ludmar is an absolute STAR! The food was probably the weakest part for us personally, although we did enjoy a few dishes. For anyone planning a proposal in Aruba, based solely on our personal experience, I would NOT recommend Picnic Aruba. This was extremely important to us because our proposal was supposed to be one of the most special moments of our trip. Unfortunately, the location used for our setup did not feel like the beautiful beach proposal we had envisioned. To me, it felt more like a marina area, with lots of trees, nearby restaurants, construction, and a much more developed setting than what we expected. Personally, I would plan the proposal yourself. Aruba is naturally beautiful, and JOIA already has a gorgeous beach directly in front of the resort that I found far more beautiful and picturesque than the location where our proposal took place. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at JOIA, and Ludmar truly made our vacation special."

"The food and drinks were on point! The resort is within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The only was, an adult pooped in the pool and the restort had to clear it and shut it down for the remainder of the day. Some adults are worse than children. We really enjoyed our stay."

"One of my all time favorite hotel resorts. LOVE the koi ponds throughout the property, the parrots and of course the black swan that is a full time resident among the Koi. Location is PERFECT. Walk out the lobby and BOOM….everything you could ever want is right there. Staff is amazing, property is exquisite! We go every February"

"Staff was friendly and accommodating. The resort is gorgeous with plenty of space to lounge at the pool and beach. We celebrated our honeymoon at this resort 30 years ago when it was the Americana, and returned for our 30 year anniversary. The staff surprised us with a bottle of champagne in our room. Great experience! Highly recommend this resort!!"

"Great location. Great amenities. Great staff. My only negative was the kitchenette only came with 4 glasses and 4 cups and a few disposable plates and cutlery. I thought that wasn't clear in the listing. Also island view did have some road noise at night."
