"We paid months ahead as with many other accommodations, which we've never had any issues with. This place was hard to find so we called to clarify directions, and we were told if we didn't have a 4x4 that it wasn't possible to get to (which was NOT mentioned on the booking site on Expedia) We were left to scramble and find a place to stay last minute which was inconvenient and cost a lot more. We were also informed we would be given the money back but months later we still haven't seen it. "

"The property is a little off the beaten path, but only minutes away from a stunning beach. The property itself is really beautiful. All the amenities you would want to stay snuggled up during a rain storm, or being a part of nature. There is a cute shop with anything you may want, or just run into town for food. Would 1000000% visit again."

"J'ai beaucoup aimé l'endroit. C'est en pleine nature, on peut y voir beaucoup d'animaux. Les équipements sont un peu rustiques, mais ça donne un vibe plus authentique. J'ai bien aimé mon séjour à jaser avec Jim (le propriétaire), c'est un homme fascinant, il semble un peu rough, mais est une bonne personne. La route pour s'y rendre à partir de Montezuma est un chemin de terre, mais était en très bon état (janvier). Il y a de bons petits restaurants à 5-10 minutes a pied de l'hotel."

"A person really couldn't ask for more, in a pricey area. Local business owners have driven the prices far too high for this area. Beach Cabinas offers a simple stay, next to good waves. This used to be a paradise. However, outsiders have changed Santa Teresa into an unneeded posh and snobby place. They've successfully alienated the local Ticos and hire cheap workers from Argentina and Nicaragua. I've seen this place change over the last 20 years. Really sad! With that being said, there are not...

"Arrived and they didn’t have my reservation because of tech issues. Restaurant and bar closed, pool partially open, place not well maintained. Nice owner and we expected rusticness but place needs to be more traveler ready and accommodating. "
