TV aerial cable draped over light fittings, and personally I would’ve liked blackout curtains as the room was very illuminated from outside lighting. but that said I would definitely stay there again. "Charming village location when I booked I thought we were in st Ives town but glad we were in Houghton as did a lovely circular walk to st Ives from here. Full of character this pub was cosy and welcoming. Great breakfast too."

"Beautiful location right on the river bank. We had 2 nights at this amazing hotel. Our room was large, clean and extremely comfortable. The was a great choice for breakfast. The location is stunning with a large beer garden. The staff are friendly and helpful. They arranged a 6 seater taxi for us into St Ives which is a beautiful town which happened to have a jazz an and blues festival and a food market. The menu offers a good choice of food in this historic pub. We will definitely be...

"What a welcome, such friendly pleasant hosts. The room was clean, cosy and warm and just what we needed after an horrendous journey! Atmosphere pleasant and food freshly cooked. Thank you would most definitely stay here again, I’m not into big, bland corporate hotels."

"One of four rooms in an adjacent block (so no disturbance from the pub), the room and bathroom were very clean and provided everything needed for a one-night stay. Appears to have recently been refurbished. Good-size shower cubicle and good quality towels provided. We chose twin beds and they were full-size singles, unlike those often provided in smaller hotels. Room was large, warm and well lit. Breakfast was continental and pre-packed in a small 'fridge, consisting of one croissant...

"Good place to stay for south Cambridge. Rooms are fairly compact, heating was a bit erratic in that too hot in the evening and none in the morning. Breakfast was good but it would be nice to have some fruit "
