"Property perfectly sited in heart of Mastichari. Welcome at airport by Michael and son. No criticism whatsoever as they made us feel welcome. Problem is with the local authorities who for many years have allowed the area around the pier to smell strongly of raw sewage. I feel very sorry for owners such as Michael who, try their best but seem to be hampered by a local authority who do not care."

"I could say a few negative things, about toilet rolls and the doors being near impossible to lock. But it's great value for money and the pool is a proper job, not the glorified paddling pool that you get with some appartments. Good location, would go there again."

"We booked a twin bedded studio with kitchen area. We were given a tiny dark room with one bed and a balcony facing an internal courtyard and staff’s homes. We asked numerous times for the room we had paid for and finally moved 24 hours later. This room was still nothing like the photos on Expedia and the air conditioning was broken. It was another 24 hours before this was repaired. The staff are helpful but the manager was not. Many of the rooms look much nicer but we were told they are for...

"A nice hotel but as it was the start of the season, a little disorganised in terms of the rooms, what was provided etc. The first room allocated was under the bar and very noisy at night. There were also constant issues with corridor lighting not being turned off. We moved rooms eventually, which did help. However, overall I wouldn't go back because of the noise issue and the general quality of some of the rooms."

"I absolutely loved my stay at Aphrodite Studios with hosts Danielle and Herre, as well as their beautiful daughter Flo. I was welcomed as if part of the family and felt very much at home. They exceeded my expectations in every way. The space is perfectly located, just outside of Masouri with views of Telendos. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated and I enjoyed breakfast in the morning in the common patio conversing with Danielle and Herre. I would highly recommend Aphrodite Studios...

"Ideally situated, just 10 minutes walk to the harbour front where there is plenty of choice of bars and restaurants. The hotel is very clean, pool is great, the food is very good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms could do with being updated and the owners who took the hotel over recently recognise this and said it will be done soon. I will definitely stay there again. "

"The private entrance to the property was the first indication we had chosen for something special for our stay on Kos. Our week at Ta Spitakia was so relaxing that we spent less time at the beach and just lazed around the villas outdoor seating area or on the private sun loungers. The staff were exceptionally helpful and contactable 24hrs a day. The villa was cleaned thoroughly every day and had everything needed from making a cup of coffee to a family dinner. "Though it says that they will come and get you from the airport when I contacted the property they would only do this until 9pm. No good for my Easyjet flight arriving at 9:20pm. This left us in the taxi queue which took more than an hour to get a taxi. Apparently in high season it can take 2 hours! Taxis very expensive, 28 euros for 10 minute ride. There is not much in Marmari. The map looked like Anthia was set back a couple of blocks from the beach.in fact it is surrounded by scrub land....

"This place is perfect in every way. It’s clean, comfortable, the staff are lovely, laundry room which is great touch when you’re island hopping. Great food, breakfast and cocktails and perfect location. I couldn’t fault a single thing. I would of happily stayed forever. "

"Very spacious clean 2 room apartment with huge bed! Attractively tiled bathroom. Lovely views across Kefalos bay. Just off the beach road so very quiet. Beautiful gardens. Hosts are very helpful. The shower was probably the most powerful I've experienced in Greece, though use at full power gives a rather wet bathroom floor. Kitchen facilities very good. Might be worth considering adding insect screens to windows."

"A lovely but basic apartment right on the beach with a small pool. Had the pool to ourselves most the time. There is a bus stop opposite or about 20 mins walk to centre. We were out of check in time so emailed but received no response, we called and they had received email. They sort check in so if you don't have a reply it will all be fine "

"A bright spacious apartment with a great view. Well equipped with everything you will need. A five minute walk, to possibly the largest supermarket on the island. The bus stop is opposite the supermarket. Two coves with beaches, are a fifteen minute walk. The owner is friendly and helpful! A handy hint.... Try Marinos Restaurant. "We spent 2 weeks at this property and were able to walk to main thoroughfares and transportation hubs, a large grocery store, restaurants, cafes, and beaches. Staff was friendly and helpful. Accommodations were clean and suitable for our needs. My husband and I travelled with our 12 year old son. Our unit was great for our family. Highly recommend!"
