"Beautiful, quaint, secluded place! The only sounds are the birds, waves and breezes. On a bluff that overlooks the ocean, few min walk to beach. You might have the beach to yourself. Nice little pool on property. Clean and comfortable, great service, great breakfast. DIRECTIONS: Take one of the plentiful buses to Penonome from Panama City's Terminal Albrook, getting off in Las Uvas. ($3.50) Contact the property before you get there and they'll pick you up. "

"My wife and I stayed at Casa Lajagua March 4 - Mar 7 and had a very enjoyable stay. The rooms had air-conditioning, shower had hot water and the rooms were spacious and clean. One great thing was that the rooms did not have TV's, it was so nice to get away from all the stuff that was going on back home. The patio was a great place to hang out and read and the small swimming pool was nice to cool off in. April is a great hostess and her kitchen staff prepared breakfast each morning. April...

"Amazing laid back stay in the beautiful Panama country side. Located right on a river makes for such a secluded private stay with great natural areas to explore. Dustin the owner being American made us a delicious American style breakfast - Fluffy cheese omelette with sausage. Highly recommend stoping by if your looking for safe, clean place off the beaten path. "

"Hotel Anchorero is a gem! This 4 room property has a view of the Panamanian mountains that is absolutely spectacular! Situated in a small community that is both welcoming and lovely, the end of the road leads to this slice of heaven. "We had a great stay here. Angie is lovely and made us feel very welcome. Facilities are fine including beer in the fridge and honesty box, and good choice of breakfast on the west-facing terrace on stilts out to the bay. We borrowed some bikes and cycled along to Bluff playa, which was practically deserted, but had good lunch places. Worth noting that Bocas is undergoing a major upgrade to their water, drainage and roads when we were there (April 2024) which meant the town was a bit chaotic,...
