"Quinta Trás o Rio is a large house, set in the hills outside the coastal town of Viia Praia de Âncora. It has six bedrooms, a swimming pool, large garden and ample parking. Its location in the hills ensures cooling breezes for a comfortable temperature in Summer. Porto airport is 50 minutes away. The house itself is stone built and rather rambling once inside. There are numerous stairs both inside and out. My ten year old grandson christened it : The House of Stairs. Families with toddlers...

"Die Anlage bietet eine tolle Aussicht, ist sehr ruhig gelegen, schön angelegt und ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflüge. Leider war das Apartment an vielen Stellen mit schwarzem Schimmel belastet, was man auch riechen konnte. Diese Situation ist umso ärgerlicher, da wir vor Reisebeginn gezielt nach möglichem Schimmelbefall gefragt hatten, was von der Agentur verneint wurde. "

"Wie hatten einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub. Das alte, schön hergerichtete Haus liegt sehr ruhig auf einem großen Grundstück neben dem Haus der Vermieter, die den Garten auch nutzen, aber so, dass man sich nicht gegenseitig stört. Die Vermieter sind sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen auch mit den Tieren (Hunde, Hühner und Katze) die auch auf dem Grundstück umherlaufen. "The home is in a beautiful, peaceful location. There are many fruit trees, a pond, a swimming pool, and cute farm animals including baby sheep. Our family enjoyed the home and grounds very much. Francisca was a hospitable and gracious host. She gave us a tour of the grounds upon our arrival and provided provisions for breakfast, including eggs fresh from her chickens. We would return again to this home and recommend it to anyone looking for wonderful scenery. Our kids loved it, too!"

"My stay at this place was great, very quiet place, big property with small vineyards and a great swimming pool. Mr Ernesto was great and flexible with the check in and out (5stars to that) Nice couple of rooms for a couple each, kitchen is full equipped but oven (has a wooden oven outside) The only thing that I can mention is a lack of a full indoor living room which the bit outside is great for it any time of the day if good weather... if not is also ok and you always can burn some wood/coal...

"Nous avons séjourné 10 jours dans la maison flottante dans un super cadre très agréable. Piscine, jacuzzi, herbe, fleur .... c'est très dépaysant et très calme. Nous ne sommes pas loin du village où il y a tout ce qu'il faut (magasin, supermarché, restaurants....) si j'ai un conseil à donner au propriétaire, c'est d'ajouter une étagère dans la salle de bain qui est petite afin d'avoir plus de rangement pour les trousses de toilettes. autrement parfait pour nous."
