I preferred walking the paths at the top of the mountain having ridden to those trail heads. This includes parking at the top and walking down to the overlook platform beautiful fuse So much cooler 10 to 15° perfect hiking weather never above 70°F and contrast with my days by the coast not humid not hot Bug spray would’ve...

"The grounds are beautiful and the facility was clean and well-kept. Staff members were pleasant. We would actually consider staying there in a different room but the white cabin with the thatched roof was awkward and uncomfortable to the point that we left after one night even though we knew we wouldn't get a refund. You can tell from the photos that some of the description is inaccurate (It's just one bedroom and doesn't have a private pool though there is one pool for all guests to share.) but...

"From the moment we arrived the staff greeted us with warm smiles and salutations, and throughout our stay it remained the same. Alan and his wife (the chef), Ariel, Alan’s brother and Andre and Patricia ( another chef) provided us with a rich history of the area and delicious meals. We slept like babies each night in the spacious lodging provided for us. The mountaintop views are breathtaking and taking a dip in the private waterfall was so refreshing! We totally enjoyed our stay!"

The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, always checking to make sure you're having a great time. The excursions were fantastic, we highly recommend the white water rafting! "Excellent location to stay by the beach and close to Manuel Antonio National Park. Everything about this hotel was great. Walking distance to multiple restaurants. Good parking space. Very kind and helpful staff that goes above and beyond to make you feel happy and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. The amenities were in excellent shape, pools were always clean. Rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. Grateful to the staff. They are the best! Will definitely go again!"

"We loved our stay here! First, the location is PERFECT!!! close to cafe Emilio and the beaches. The room was super clean and nice and the bed was so comfy! We also loved the breakfast in the morning and eating by the pool. When I needed help with something, everyone at the desk was very friendly and helpful. We also got our clothes washed and they came out great. My only complain is the restaurant attached "yolo" is very tacky and almost hinders the luxury and vibes of Ecotica."

The restaurant was very nice with a variety of options that were reasonably priced. The sparkling pool was clean and refreshing.
