Pristine Mid-Century Architecture Circa 1954 in a LOW-DENSITY neighborhood. Decor recently updated w/ furnishings by (Eames, Florence Knoll, Eero Saarinen, Neaguchi, Blenko), fine Modern Art: paintings and sculptures. It was extensively remodeled in 2016 & updated in 2024 and situated on a quiet residential street in the historic Warm Sands neighborhood just 5 blocks from downtown. Amazing west mountain views.
The home is spacious with its open floor plan and tiled floors throughout. Equipped with new central heating and cooling, a full-size washer and dryer, WiFi, a whole-house audio system (interior & Exterior) & additionally a Karmen-Harmon blue tooth speaker. Alarm system, 3 flat-screen TVs, basic cable service (bedroom, den, and kitchen/breakfast nook), WiFi. Architect-designed lighting inside and out, and an abundance of large screened windows with reflective tint for privacy and bottom-up top-down cordless shades.
Living areas: large living room with gas fireplace, open dining room, cozy den with a queen hybrid sleeper sofa, bedroom with a hybrid adjustable king bed, large bathroom with a new tub/shower, soaps, and hairdryer. The kitchen is well stocked with quality kitchenware, utensils, flatware, dish & barware. A NEW full-size stainless convection oven + air-fryer gas range & stainless refrigerator with ice & water in the door were installed 8/2024. Also included are a built-in microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven, coffee maker ample counter space, and a breakfast nook. High-quality bed linens, blankets & towels. A NEW HYBRID KING bed with MECHANICAL ADJUSTABLE BASE was installed on 4/2024. The mattress can be elevated at the top or bottom or both), bath robes are provided as well. large pool towels.
Private patio spaces for dining and lounging! There is a large open-air patio with a gas grill and dining area, and a patio with lounge chairs for relaxing and tanning.
A fully enclosed open-air patio with informal seating and a dining area. This patio is ideal for working outdoors and watching the sunrise with coffee. It's shaded, fenced, and great for pets..

Includes a circular driveway with parking for 2-4 cars. Park just steps from the front entry! The house is single-level and has no steps.

Desert scaping throughout the property with landscape lighting.
Pet-friendly (gated patio, pet dishes).
2 bikes are available for your enjoyment. Let us know in ADVANCE if you would like to use the bikes so we can make sure they are ready to ride!

So Convenient For Walking

As described. No surprises. Put on some Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, etc. and drift back to the 1950s. Depending on your speed a 5-15 minute flat walk to the center of downtown. Friends spent a couple of nights and plenty of room for 4 adults. Would definitely go back.

Short walk to downtown Palm Springs. Lots of character and charm with this home and neighborhood of smaller mid-century homes. This home is the main home on the property with another building behind that has 2 units including where the owner lives. Many of the homes in the Warm Sands area have similar arrangements. Parking in front for our car with a circular driveway. Very welcoming to our small dog and was a great option for me and my wife who had easy access to the convention center for 2 days of work. The home was comfortable and the kitchen has everything you would need. We had a few minor issues but they were addressed promptly and we would recommend the property for anyone who would like to be close to downtown and/or the convention center.

A beautiful, comfortable home that's ideal for long stays

When I first arrived, I was so happy to find that the photos posted in this listing are 100% accurate -- this property is as beautiful, well-maintained, and tastefully decorated as you see in the photos. I felt like I was staying in a home that had been featured in Architectural Digest. As beautifully decorated and maintained as it is, though, the home is also very comfortable -- all the chairs, the sofas, the bed, etc. The den, in particular, is so cozy and comfortable that I found myself spending hours there reading. For my stay, I was basically there by myself or with just my partner or a friend, but there's definitely room enough for three or four people, especially with the two patios (one shared and one private). There's a huge supply of towels and sheets, and the washer and dryer were so convenient for my month-long stay. Another huge feature of this property is its prime location. Walking to the center of town took just 10 minutes, and with the bike that was supplied I could easily get to just about anywhere in Palm Springs. I also have to mention that John, the owner, is a sweetheart. He was always available for anything I needed, and he was even kind enough to drive me to the airport when I left. I hope to make a return stay to this property, and I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Amazing Coachella Weekend

John was such an amazing host. He texted me before our arrival and throughout our trip. His house was very comfortable and safe during our stay for Coachella weekend. Wonderful property close to downtown

Tucked in a quiet neighborhood, this home is walking distance to downtown restaurants and activities. Beautifully decorated with everything you may need for a long stay. The arrival and departure process was very easy. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

GREAT LITTLE PLACE IN PALM SPRINGS

We enjoyed our stay. Joh's house was the perfect place to return to after our long desert hikes. It is private and quiet and we particularly enjoyed having a "cold one" after our hikes sitting in the private patio and watching the resident doves flying about. John is a genial host and very accessible if you have any questions or concerns.

Perfect Getaway Spot

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. The location is excellent, and the Mountain View is top notch. Our host, John, made sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable and relaxing stay. He even went out of his way to provide a blow up mattress so my son would have his own place to sleep. The home is on a quiet street just off Indian Canyon Drive and within a short driving distance of all the great restaurants and shops of downtown Palm Springs. I was very pleased by the deep cleaning that occurs when one guest leaves before the next one arrives. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to friends and family looking for a place in Palm Springs.

2021 Covid Winter in PS

Exactly as described and exactly as shown in the VRBO photos, is what I found upon arrival. My host, John was there when I arrived. He gave me a quick walk through of the house. The home has a seemingly infinite number of lighting choices. Lighting for all the fabulous artwork and separate room lighting...all on dimmers. John was always nearby, asking if all was good and if there was anything I needed or had questions about. I was self- quarantining the first 10 days I was here. Most of that time, outside on the back patio. Again, the space was just as presented. Overall, I had a very comfortable and positive experience here. I would definitely book here again!
