It has great views of the valley and is near Sulmona and just an hour from the beaches in Pescara. There is plenty of space and plenty of beds. Having three bathrooms was great. "If you want a peaceful, rural getaway then Casa Foelas is the place for you. The coast is easily accessible as are the mountains and the airport. A car is a must but you don’t need to drive too far to find a beach, dramatic scenery, a Roman ruin or ancient castle. A lovely pool and views make this smallish but tastefully decorated apartment seem so much more spacious. We loved it and wished we’d had more time to explore what the area had to offer. "very nice vertical house in center of old town. great location near restaurants and coffee shops. very clean. easy access and departure. not a property for people who struggle with stairs. hot water in showers is a little tricky. shower in one of the bathrooms needs a door, and washing machine could use some written instructions. overall, we enjoyed it, and recommend it with the few caveats already mentioned."

"We were a group of 15 family and friends visiting the Abruzzo region and Villa Carlucci was just perfect. We cooked as a group almost every night and the long table in the kitchen was perfect for all of us to gather around. Dr. Carlucci was wonderful - very easy to communicate with and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and areas to explore. The Villa and grounds were beautiful and very well kept and we loved our stay! Highly recommend!"
