Heritage Village Resort & Spa Goa

"We loved the relaxing atmosphere at Heritage Village Resort. The options for beach towels and a mat for the nearby Arossim beach was helpful. We loved the poolside but wished it could be open until a bit later than 7.30pm. The breakfast was good. The curated experiences and activities were nice. Although only English music played making the resort feel more European than Indian. We liked the in-room dining options and easy access to restaurants. We didn’t like our bed as it was 2 twins put together with an uncomfortable divide and also when we put out the lights all electricity including power to our phone chargers would stop. We do like the eco resorts but this was hard to charge our phones."

"This was a nice hotel with an excellent breakfast and pool . Very clean and friendly staff. I would say that it is the nicest in the area. Only knock is the distance to the beach. If you want a beachfront- this is not for you . Maybe 500m walk through the shopping area to the beach."

"It’s beautifully positioned on the beach, but don’t think this is the best place for a solo traveller. Lots of families with children. The restaurant’s breakfast offering was less than advertised: don’t expect lots of pastries or fruit. I was told I would have to pay extra for filter coffee, only instant coffee was free. I raised this with the manager and showed him the advertising promising freshly brewed coffee, so he agreed to that for me. But this felt cheap and for the price I would have expected a more substantial breakfast offering. I was in a small partial sea-view room upstairs which I liked, especially the bath on the balcony, but I could hear the guests below me and their footsteps and movements shook the space I occupied. Rooms only get cleaned on request. Two bottles of water provided and then you need to refill yourself from a dispenser. But I did like the staff and their helpfulness and the location. I think that there may have been a mismatch in my expectations, because I can see how this can be a charming place with the right mindset."

"Beautiful hotel with vast estate of well maintained gardens. Clean pristine beach right next to the hotel. Loved the room with the plunge pool. Staff were very helpful. Services were excellent. They even provided free taxi services from/to the airport! Brest was included and had lot of variety options. If you can afford then don't hesitate to stay in Taj resort!"

"Delana, the resort manager, was cordial and friendly and ensured I had an excellent, enjoyable stay. She had a great, kind attitude toward all guests. She is a great asset to the Marriott hotel. Akhil made my stay very pleasant and went out of his way to ensure all my needs were met."

"Facilities were good, clean rooms. Short walk to the beach. Cleanliness of the tables in the restaurant was not great (placemats were stained from previous guests and never saw anyone clean the tables with disinfectant between sittings). Would recommend getting breakfast early as when we went late we noticed that some food items were running low and not always topped up."

"Staff were highly responsive to our needs and very helpful. Not everyone’s names are known but the accommodation manager Sylvester was exceptionally helpful as was Lita at Check out and hotel management. Pool is very nice as is the beach. WiFi can be difficult to connect to but once connected is very good. There are two restaurants, one North Indian and a larger restaurant where breakfasts and dinner are served. Food is good in both though waiting times in the Seagull restaurant can be long. If going for breakfast I would recommend going in the earlier hours to get a table quickly. Spa is good and the people are friendly. It is a very good location for families with small children and it is very clean. Good value for money and highly recommended."
