  • We have an amazing Hale for your tropical paradise getaway. This clean, quaint, tropical getaway is in the perfect location to explore the East side of Hawaii. Whether you enjoy Hiking, Volcano exploring, Water Falls, Snorkeling, Kayaking, or what ever you enjoy, this Hale is the perfect place to come home to relax, BBQ, and unwind from a day of exploring everything the Big Island has to offer. We offer a full kitchen, BBQ, Washer Dryer, 1 King bedroom, 1 Queen bedroom, 1 Full Bathroom with a Half Bath in the Laundry Room in the Carport. Also, mini split AC have been install in every room to keep the whole house nice and cool. And we are excited to offer an outdoor shower as well. The property sits on almost a 1/4 acre of tropical plants, palms, avocados, and bananas. The house sits back from the street. It is only 7 blocks from the ocean approx. 1/4 mile. Explore the town of Pahoa with very good restaurants, a Farmer's market every Sunday, Malama Grocery Store, and Gas Station only 6 miles away. We have a minimum night stay of 3 nights, maximum stay of 14 days.

    Our area is very Scenic, Tropical, Old Traditional Hawaii. Do not expect Waikiki or even Kailua-Kona. There are beautiful drives to Black Sands beaches, Clothing optional Kahena Beach and Wednesday Night Uncle Roberts.

    Hilo has many good restaurants. Richardson's Beach in Hilo is great for snorkeling and Onekahakaha Beach is great for families including small children. Coconut Island is must see. This side of the Island has gorgeous scenery and friendly people with the Aloha spirit!

Family vacation

We loved our stay. It was myself and my two twenty something kids. The house is clean and comfortable. WiFi connectivity was great and I was able to work when I needed. We enjoyed eating in Pāhoa village and the locals were friendly.

Nice house

Everything you could possibly need. Very clean. Really impressed with the laundry room. Sitting on the front porch looking into the yard is just like lovely.

Peaceful and homey

This was such a fantastic place to call home for four nights. Super clean, very responsive host, clear instructions. Everything we could need was there (including ear plugs for the frogs at night!). The lanai out front was a great spot to bird watch and enjoy the beautiful flowering trees. Very quiet neighborhood very close to the ocean and convenient for many places including Hilo, Paho'a, and beyond. We would absolutely stay again.

Spring visit

we came here with our daughter and her husband. very quiet and peaceful. experience was very nice. true Hawaii feel. the birds were great. The house is located in a dense rain forest area. toured the volcano national park and took a helicopter ride.

Tranquility until dawn

We loved the quiet location. Having grown up in rural/farm location; we got used to the rooster wake up calls! The home was well appointed and very comfortable! We all had some negotiating to do with tv remote, but totally enjoyed our stay! Thank you Jerry! Yes we will be back! Dave

Pahoa our home away from home

.2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath with laundry room and carport for vehicle has all the amenities of home. Everything in the kitchen to make your meals is there. The place is clean and well-maintained. We love the front porch deck. Thank you so much for the air plugs as the roosters first night we’re alarming!

Perfect Island Experience

Check in process was smooth. We had everything we needed. Lots of bugs out so we we’re making sure they don’t get in. Roosters did get loud in the early morning but nothing too annoying, it was actually fun to hear them. Used the grill and stove, made a few amazing Hawaiian meals.

Great escape

I have nothing but positive things to say about the property or the owner. Perfect spot on the Hilo side of the island. Not too far from downtown Hilo. Check in was super easy. The house was clean and gorgeous. Jerry was very responsive. My wife and I enjoyed the area. It was a nice break from the city.

Loved the outdoor shower

We enjoyed the place very much and the outdoor shower was our favorite part. There is no A/C, but there are lots of fans and we found the evenings to be quite pleasant. If you like to sleep in, you may want to put in earplugs because there was a rooster there who woke up at around 4:30am and with the windows open for air movement he'll wake you right up!

Beautiful Pahoa

We loved the house. The outdoor shower was great. We enjoyed being in Pahoa on a quiet street after busy days.

Absolutely wonderful

As soon as we pulled into the driveway we felt like we were in paradise. Everything inside was wonderful and my sister REALLY LOVED the outside shower. Sitting on the lanai for breakfast and dinner was so relaxing. The neighbors were very nice. Would stay at your place again in a hearbeat. Mahalo. Elaine

Better then expected!

The house has been recently renovated is very clean, in a private setting with good neighbors and a yard with mature trees that has taken years to develop, the photos do not do it justice. Nothing to complain about, you can't complain about chickens and frogs in Pahoa. Alicia was remarkably responsive and we will try to stay here the next time we come to Hawaii. Thanks Harry Buchea

Nice stay near Hilo

I was nice stay at this house. Quiet location, except roosters :) House is very well equiped. Nice lanai with grill. We enjoyed outside shower a lot. Would come back again.

Really wasn't a good fit for us.

There were lots of bugs in the bathroom which was very odd. The Nanny and my youngest were really freaked out by them. The roosters were annoying for everyone with their crowing during the wee hours. Otherwise the property was in good condition.

The proberty was perfect, trees with flowers in the large garden

We stayed here one week and every das WE founded a New goal. Seen the green and black sandbeach, different waterfalls like Rainbow and Akaka. Swim in tide and river pots. Made a helicopter flight over the active vulcan. Hiked on trails closed to Mauna Kea Visiter Center. VISIT Hilo with the cocotnut Island. The sky looked red in the night . This vacation we will not forgot.

A lovely home, secluded and comfortable.

We really enjoy our stay. The house was clean, comfortable, stylish and conveniently located to the warm pond and tide pools. We would enjoy renting here again!

Home Sweet Home

Our plan was to arrive before sunset but due to a delay getting our rental car we arrived at dusk. The homeowner did offer to leave a light on but we opted out. Good thing we had a flashlight with us. The access instructions were detailed and we were soon in. The house shows pride of ownership and we had everything we needed in good working condition. Loved that the WIFI was fast and reliable. The homeowners responded to all our questions very quickly. It was lovely to be away from the hustle and bustle of a tourist area. We felt comfortable and at home during our entire stay.

Home a way from home

Nice little house. Enjoyed space. Nice walk to the ocean park. Convenient location from Pahoa. This is our 2nd time stay. Would come back again. Thank you Alicia and Jerry.
