For a foodie day out, head to Padstow (3 miles), where the streets around the harbour are lined with independent boutiques and high-quality cafes and restaurants. Here, you can also hire bikes and follow the Camel Trail to Wadebridge, enjoying the scenery as you pedal. Play golf at the local club just a mile away, or head to the indoor climbing centre (great for a rainy day), 4.5 miles away. The world-famous Eden Project is only 21.5 miles away.


Climb the stairs to the first floor and find the entrance to this welcoming apartment, hang coats in the hall and step inside to find the cosy, open-plan living space. The run of kitchen cabinets at one end includes an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave – everything you’ll need for cooking up delicious holiday meals with ease. Sit down together at the dining table before stretching out on the comfortable sofas and relaxing, perhaps with a movie on the Smart TV. The two bedrooms both feature en-suite facilities: the king-size room boasts a shower and WC, while the twin room (which can be made up as a king-size on request) has a shower over the bath and WC, allowing a choice of long soaks or refreshing sprays.


The shared, sunny enclosed garden is a delight, with a large lawn and attractive planting that includes trees and mature shrubs. It’s equipped with chairs and tables for al fresco meals and drinks, plus sun loungers to laying back and relaxing. There is also a charming children’s play area. Private parking for one car is also included, making arrivals and departures easy
