"Beautiful property! Situated just behind the oceanfront homes with a path to the beach. In walkable Carlsbad Village - really no need to leave the property but the rest of Carlsbad including Legoland is an easy drive. Lovely large outdoor area facing the beach with pool, hot tub, plenty of seating. Our room had a balcony with partial ocean view & we loved the farmers market on Wednesday. Will def stay here again. "I imagine that the concept for this resort is "upscale motel". Honestly, that's what it is. Taking the old motel concept, giving it a huge make over, re-marketing it as a resort. The grounds are like a sprawling campus. Buildings beyond walking distance from the main lobby and pool, restaurant etc. There are other pools available to each block of rooms. They do a nice job of picking you up in a cart if you want a ride. The grounds were clean, attractive, and well kept. Rooms are clean and...

"We had a great time at this resort. It was meticulously clean, the suite was spacious, and it was quiet and peaceful. There are many pools, so it was not too crowded. I did not have to fight for a lounge chair. Will definitely stay again."

I tried to call ahead to communicate that we’d be doing a late check-in and there was no answer but once we arrived that evening we still had our room reserved. It’s located in a quiet area and the room was equipped with a full sized fridge, microwave, stove and some dishes. Would definitely recommend this place if you plan on staying for multiple nights. "
