The Charles Pacific Grove - Artfully Designed Inclusive Inn
"I’m not sure why this place gets five stars. It definitely has that classic Victorian haunted mansion vibe…which is a plus if you’re into ghosts and antique draftiness.
They claim the suite has an ocean view, but you might need binoculars… and maybe a step stool.
It smells exactly like your grandma’s house had a wrestling match with a bottle of Fabuloso.
The beds are firm and squeaky enough to wake the dead (fitting for the haunted theme),

"Staff Not Trustworthy. My son and I stayed 3 nights. Unfortunately upon checking out I left a duffle bag on floor of the bathroom. When I realized this I immediately called the hotel. The front desk checked with house keeping but said they couldn’t find anything. I called 2 additional times and was met with the same results. Obviously someone is lying and I felt the front desk attendant didn’t want to work very hard to figure out what happened. We will not stay at Deer Haven Inn again.

"The room was so clean and it was so beautiful. We stayed in “ The cottage “ and the view was beautiful. The property clean as well. The location was perfect to walk around and so close to the beach. The breakfast was supper good as well. They had a breakfast special and then three other options if you didn’t want the special. Staff was supper friendly and the property was very safe, quiet, and well maintained."
"Such a warm welcome from Rishi - the proprietor! He literally said, "this is your home for the next few days." We stayed in the front room over the office. A spacious room with a superior bathroom & windows on three walls. We watched the sunset lounging in bed! And an 8 minute walk to the beautiful crashing waves & tide pools. Highly recommend!"
