"I travel a LOT and get tired of Hiltons and Marriotts and Sheratons. When I can, I try to find something local. This hotel is not a 5 star resort by any means. BUT it made up for it with friendly staff, super clean rooms, and a kitschy-reto feel. The rooms are smallish but have the necessary accoutrements and a record player (which Gen Z will not understand). Everything was clean, even if a little worn. They could use new pillows. Very coastal beach feel. I'd recommend staying here for fun, easy access, parking, and proximity to the beach and restaurants. Food and bev will be at one of the local restaurants. This hotel feels "locally owned" and not corporate. Glad I could spend a night and support a local business. Overall, a 5-star review for a 3 star hotel. "

"I booked this trip 6 months ago and when receiving the notification of construction I was extremely concerned. I will say to notify after free cancellation window closed was the most worrisome. Due to several travel delays we arrived late in the evening. The staff manages multiple properties, and we had a small wait to check in. This was honestly the only hiccup… minor. This property is absolutely gorgeous. The view left us in awe, not to mention it’s not entirely secluded but is very calm. There’s a store, few restaurants, coffee shop and gas within minutes of the store. More within 30-45 minute drive there is more including casino (Recommend trying yellow dog espresso when visiting). Walking distance to beach access. You can rent beach equipment and bikes for free at the local shop which is a great perk! I would come back for sure, the view alone was serene and staff were very friendly!"

"This home has incredible views of the ocean and the haystack rock. We spent hours sitting on the decks, enjoying the views and the sounds of crashing waves. The upstairs bedroom has its own balcony. The kitchen has a deck on the backside looking out to the Nestucca River. The home is light and cheerful. It has many level changes and stairs, so take that into consideration if you are traveling with people who are not able to climb stairs. "
