The Earl of Doncaster Hotel

"We were in Doncaster for two days to attend a funeral, the hotel is art deco in style, the staff are very helpful and welcoming. The room was good, clean and had all amenities including an ironing board, hair dryer and both the air con and heating were working well. The bathroom was large but could have done with some areas to place your products, no shelves but we just used the window sill in the bedroom. The breakfast was amazing and cooked to order. I would stay there again."

"Plenty of parking. Basically a big pub and burger type restaurant, busy and decent menu. Breakfast was good value. Shame that the Black Sheep beer was 'off' the 2 nights I was there, the only other 'real beer' option was Theakston's Old Peculier was a bit too rich for session drinking."

"Arriving, I was surprised to discover the car park is charged at £5. This is the first time I have ever discovered this. It is pure greed! The room was clean and was as it should be. The next morning, we went to breakfast, we had to wait for a table to be cleared and because the air con was on (at 8am in November) the hot breakfast was cold before I even put a fork in my bacon. Coffee was terrible too! Overall, can’t fault cleanliness and staff but the breakfast and parking was very disappointing. We won’t be returning."

"Lovely experience, beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the quay. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking was easy, good size carpark right outside and a fair price compared to other hotels in the area. Only downside was breakfast, everything was left to run low without being replenished and when we ordered some poached eggs, we had to wait ages and when they did come they were sat in a pool of water on a plate and were still raw on the inside which put us off the rest of our breakfast."
