"The staff were friendly, especially the woman working in the breakfast area. The rooms have just been remodeled recently; the bathrooms probably need a little extra tlc. We felt like the property was clean and nice. Would stay again."

"We booked this room for Memorial Day weekend to have a small vacation with our grandchildren in Michigan. We were looking forward to using the restaurant and bar and the kids were excited to spend the day in the indoor pool. For some reason the hotel decided to close the restaurant, bar, and pool on Memorial Day. WHAT????? The holidays are when people visiting family rent hotel rooms. We were not notified of this when we booked. Also they had the water turned off for four hours one day. This hotel is HORRIBLY managed to do this to it's guests. I expect a refund because the amenities we paid for were inaccessible. Never again will we stay at Hyatt!!!"

"We would not hesitate to stay again. We usually stay at larger hotel chains but we were pleasantly surprised with Home Towne Studios in Okemos! Very friendly & helpful Staff, LARGE rooms, very clean & comfortable. It was quiet (on a busy weekend), the area felt safe & the hotel hallways and rooms were fresh, clean and comfortable!"

"It was good overall for the price. Unfortunately, the room smelled smoky. Also, maybe it's the norm now, but I was told that I had to request the room to be cleaned the night before I wanted it to be. I have often told the housekeeper in hotels that if I could just get clean towels that they wouldn't have to clean the room. At this hotel, they wouldn't do that. I had to go to the front desk to request them. So that was kind of inconvenient. On the plus side, the ladies who prepared breakfast and served breakfast were outstanding and very friendly and helpful. Most of the staff were friendly."

"Upon entering, the carpet - although new - was of a texture and combined colors which made it appear dirty and not very clean. That proved false but was the first impression when we entered the back entrance door for our room. Towel rack in bath was broken. Only one washcloth for two people. Sink area small. TV control would not turn tv on or off and limited in channels. Breakfast okay but milk dispenser wouldn't pour until attendant unscrewed top."
