"I recently stayed at the Canopy by Hilton Ithaca Downtown and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and clearly well maintained. The location is excellent, and the rooms were comfortable—especially the beds.
Where the experience fell short was on the service side. The staff, while friendly, often came across as a bit disengaged and not particularly attentive. There were small but noticeable issues—like empty coffee stations and long wait times at the restaurant (we were told 45 minutes for food), which made it feel understaffed.
That said, one staff member in the restaurant on Friday night made a genuine effort to improve the experience, which was appreciated.
With a stronger focus on service and staffing, this hotel could easily match the high quality of its physical space."
