"I was really pleased with our choice of Le Chamois D’Or. It is ideally located near the bottom of the magic carpet and Pioneers chair lift and really is ski in/out. The room was spacious and extremely well equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. We even had a balcony overlooking the piste. "Would not stay here again. Disappointed with the communication from staff (check in took almost 30 minutes despite being prepaid). Can hear every single word spoken by your neighbors and out in the corridors."

"I travelled to the Tourotel expecting the worst given a lot of the reviews, and was pleasantly surprised and can only suggest those giving such poor reviews haven't stayed in ski accommodation before or hadn't looked at any of the photos. Yes it's basic (as are most ski accommodations), but they are well equipped (I've attached the inventory of the 2 bed apartment), and the mountain facing balcony rooms have the best view of any accommodation I've stayed in the alps. "Although not particularly close to restaurants the location worked really well for us. The accommodation we were in (1bed family/sleep6) was slightly smaller than the ones in the photos but ideal for 2 adults and 2 teenagers prepared to use a bunk bed in a room that was not technically a bedroom, probably due to it’s size, but worked well for us. "We stayed on the Pichu wing. Everything was ok. You have to buy your own toilet paper, trash bags ect, which I felt was strange. The kitchen was fully equipped and had a toaster, stove top and microwave. We did cook a full meal one night for fun. The on-site restaurants are not worth it. Go try the other places, and if you take the free shuttle you can go a bit further down the mountain for more choices. To address the bathroom door I read so much about. "Apartment just like on the pictures. Good size for 2 adults and 1 kids. 2 kids would be okay but no more than that. Not too much storage. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Appliances such hairdryer, raclette grill, fondue are available upon request at the front desk. Spa/jacuzzi is a plus. Red slopes is few feet from the lodging pretty frozen at 9am but that’s the only way if you don’t want to walk 6-7 min"

"The entire place is spotless and we were warmly welcomed by a very friendly owner. Her communication was faultless all through the week that, and nothing was too much for her. The Chalet is good value for money, and is close to everything in Sestriere, and a short walk to the slope and gondolas. We will recommend this property to anyone wanting to enjoy quainter or summer in the western alps."

"Had not been informed that this is more of an apartment rental than a hotel, and arrived at 10pm to find reception had closed at 8pm- there had been no warning of any closing times! Fortunately our apartment had been left open for us, but there were no sheets on any of the beds! The keys were not left in the apartment and we had to put a table against the door on the first night! "Our second time visiting and we have rebooked for a 3rd Nicole was amazing despite some issues with VRBO and the washing machine she was in constant communication. It was great to add linen to our booking this year. The appartment is a good size we are 2 families equalling 10 people. Ski in/ out was still possible even in April Good sized rooms with plenty of views of the slops outside. Nicole added items to the kitchen from our last stay which made things even easier."
