"Great place to stay in Otago. I had loads of fun doing day trips across Otago from here. Peter knows so much about the local area and good hiking, biking and touring routes. Nice quiet rural stay with a lovely farmhouse vibe. Will definitely have to stay again when I’m back in the area. "

"This was our second stay at Little Blacks and it was presented beautifully, as it was last year. Little Blacks is super cozy and well cared for. It is situated in a beautiful location that is quiet, handy to local shops and walking distance to some lovely pub food / drinks. Added bonus of a lovely range of continental breakfast items were also provided. Hopefully we are able to stay again on our next visit too."

We arrived to find a beautifully clean, tidy, and surprisingly spacious wee cottage that was tastefully decorated, packed (not cluttered) with all the mod cons you miss when not at home. Featuring a full length covered deck looking over a working farm if your looking for a taste of NZ this is it. Happily recomend to all. "

"We (a group of 4 old people), were greeted by Russell and provided with an introduction to the property. He provided some of the history of Ophir and made suggestions regarding the best place for a meal, all of which was accurate. He made a prediction of the likely weather conditions for the Bike ride to Wedderburn and he was correct. "
