The apartment complex and the room was clean and quiet. From the place to Bytown was only a 30 minute walk, and the bridge was a nice view. The small balcony addition was nice, and there were a lot of lighting options.
The host gave a pincode to get into the building, and we called her a couple times for her to come and unlock the apartment and show us around, as well as let us know the simple rules for staying and leaving (i.e. shoes off inside, hanging towles, and where to hide the key). She also showed us how to get there and what spot to park in. Parking was underneath in a garage, and we had to move our car to another spot in the lot once, per host request, during our trip.
I would normally not include specifics of prices in a review, but since the fees on the place aren't advertised and more than doubles the cost, I feel that it's incredibly important to let future guests know for complete transparency, especially since VRBO hides those extra fees until after you book;
For $107.50 a night for 4 nights, the cost was $430. However, with host, service, and lodging fees of $438, this totaled $868.06, meaning with fees this place will be a little more than double what you'd initially calculate. There was also an additional $23 credit card fee after our stay. Please keep this in mind when comparing this price to other VRBOs and bnbs.
Our only other complaint was the WiFi. As we were there for tech-related business, downloading a couple of images of our portfolios was extremely slow. We also later tried to stream one episode of a show, but it paused to buffer every few minutes.
Overall the place itself is nice, but you should also keep in mind that the fees could be over double the seemingly cheap cost, and the wifi is quite slow.
