The staff were incredibly nice even with a bit of a language barrier but we figured it out. The area is quiet and peaceful. The room was so cute and the building. It was a bit far from Kyoto but it was nice escape after a long day. And public transport was close by (10 min walk). Loved my experience and would definitely return and recommend.

A charmingly traditional and cozy hotel

The traditional Japanese room with a separate toilet was perfect for myself travelling solo. The room was immaculately clean and extremely quiet. The bed cover was fluffy and soft although the mattress was a bit thin for me. The full breakfast was delicious and the staff were thoughtful.

Almost felt like I had the whole place to myself. The room I was in was massive for one person. Formtbhr bathroom, the restroom , to the dining area everything felt spacious and bette than staying at a chain hotel. The breakfast was so good and the space was so clean. would stay again.

Inase is built within an old house, I believe. It’s very unique and fun to step back in time and experience Japan in a deeper way than modern ryokans. I highly recommend it and will certainly stay there again.

建物が古い日本家屋なので建物全体も泊まったお部屋も気持ちがしっとりと落ち着きます。宿の方もとても親しみやすい感じで優しく丁寧な対応で心地よく過ごせました。泊まった時もそうでしたし、予約時に電話で問い合わせた際もとても感じが良くて安心できました。 古い日本家屋のため、壁や床の遮音性はあまりなく、周りの部屋の音は結構聞こえます。幸いうるさく音を出すお客さんはいらっしゃいませんでしたし、消灯時間後から朝まではすっかり静かで私は氣になりませんでした。 共用スペースでセルフでコーヒー・紅茶・緑茶が提供されていて、読み物などもあり、コタツもあったので、お庭をみながらゆっくりくつろぐことができました。 ちょうどオーナーのご実家で採れた無農薬のレモンもご自由にどうぞとのことだったので、朝絞って白湯に入れてありがたくいただきました。 お風呂は2箇所あり、庭側に窓のある方を利用しました。湯船も足を伸ばせて入れるし洗い場もスペースがあり、浴室も脱衣所にもエアコンもついていたので快適に過ごせました。お湯を張るのに少し時間がかかるので、服を脱ぐ前にまずはお湯張りボタンを押して、一度共用スペースやお部屋に戻って少し時間を置いてから、お湯が溜まった頃にもう一度お風呂に行って入るとちょうど良いと思います。 朝食も美味しかったです。 お部屋のトイレもゆったりとしており洗面所も含めてスペース的には申し分ありません。 JR大津駅から歩けますし、路面電車も利用できますし、歩きだけでも周辺の神社仏閣も巡れますし、琵琶湖も近いですし、すぐ商店街もありますし、美味しいご飯屋さんもあってとても便利な所でした。 今度は「成瀬は天下をとりに行く」を読んでからぜひもう一度ゆっくり来たいなと思います。
