Great property, farther out from the town. It felt like we went into 1970’s. Everything including the stove was from the 70’s. Nothing modern. We were disappointed because the wood burning stove does not work. The furniture outside is outdated with plastic chairs. Would have been nice to have comfortable seating outside on the patio, because you’re paying for that view.

Reasonably nice property for the price. A little run down, but, hey, it’s the beach.

WE enjoyed the house. My suggestion for the amount Cavacasa charges for fees that the rental have a small house clening before the guests arrive to frteshing it up. The house smelled musty as it had been closed up for a period of time.

Main floor is up three levels and has a nice view, but the outdoor picnic table is rotting away. that kitchen table needs refinished. It’s got many stains on it. Not having any dishwasher was a negative there is small bathrooms only two with the sink in the hallway outside of the toilet and shower door. The Oregon coast is kind of harsh on houses, but this house is in need of some upgrades

My in laws built this house 🏡 45 years ago and it’s still a wonderful place to stay and enjoy Cascade Head! Carpet is worse for wear, but aren’t we all…The kitchen could be better stocked with cooking items such as pots and pans. But place was clean and we loved having the old weaving room separate from the rest of the house for an in law that has different sleeping patterns then the rest of us (it has a half bath so still need to come upstairs if you need a shower)… All in all, great stay, new memories made!!!

Clean and comfortable with all needed amenities for a family stay in beautiful, quiet Cascade Head Ranch. Cool coastal breezes without the noise and crowding of a beach-side community, yet a short drive to the restaurants, stores, and other facilities of Lincoln City. Waterside within Cascade Head Ranch is also a quite short drive or a long walk to the end of the county road at the mouth of a narrow, shallow river. A quick float (BYO canoe, raft, or whatever) across the river brings you to a peninsula with a sandy beach on the ocean - a private summer camp straddles the peninsula to the south, so there is no public access except by water. Cascade Head itself, above the scattered homes of the ranch, is conservation land with trails, spectacular views, and a resident herd of elk. Note that this property does not offer HOA parking passes necessary to park in the community's parking lot on the riverbank (park instead along the adjacent county road) nor does it provide access to the community's swimming pool there, unlike other Cascade Head properties we've rented in the past. Not a deal-breaker for us.

I would like to start by saying that Vacasa's management team was excellent. I loved that I could text message with them for any questions and concerns I had during the stay. Ryan called me to personally address some concerns I mentioned but they were all out of his control aside from asking the cleaners to please check things like hair in the sink, coffee grinds from the last guest in the machine and candy stuck on the floor. All minor things overlooked. I'd like to say that for the price of the home, you are getting a good deal. It is about 15 minutes from Lincoln City up in a forest area with a steep driveway. It's like staying at Grandma's - everything is very old (closets are hard to open and close, old carpet/rugs, really old kitchen floor that needs a very deep clean (to a point they should just replace it), old appliances, etc. But...they all still work! Vacasa does a great job making sure you have everything to stay comfortable. Laundry detergent, mini Dove soaps/shampoo/conditioner, dish soap, etc. If you're on a budget and just need a place to sleep and do some laundry, it's a nice place to stay. Thank you Vacasa for being so accommodating!!!

The house is interesting and set in a beautiful setting. We know the area well, and so were quite prepared for the environment and community. The house was clean, well equipped with all that was needed and served as a spring board for adventures down in the estuary, and in town.

The dated furniture and layout of the home fits with the simple and quiet sense of place of the community. Tidy and peaceful.

The location is beautiful & peaceful. By reading reviews I knew driveway was tight turn so that was good info. Area was quiet for most part except occasionally a barking dog. The house was older. Which I love. The linens and towels were old, torn & stained. Obviously people had pets there before. Carpet was stained and damaged but what can you expect from a rental. Last guests garbage was all over the place down stairs so we could not use the room down there. I wasn't going to wade through garbage to get to a room. Place could def use a better cleaning. Spider webs everywhere. Dishes in cabinets were dirty. Stove was filthy so I couldn't use it. Had to wash microwave & fridge before I could use them. Screens were old and would fall out. One fell and hit my daughter in head. My son got tripped on carpet leaving top floor & fell down stairs. Thankfully he was not hurt. All in all with the few issues we did have I would rent there again. The walking trails are amazing. The sound of birds in morning was wonderful. We all loved the rain. We got to see deer close up which thrilled the kids to no end!!

The view I actually liked the room outside very different I like the whole house except for some minor issues that I explained lane but I was not everything was cool I wouldn't mind going there again is there again if you can get that which dove to work and the porch lights to works And the heater in the back room Maybe a bigger TV But it was awesome I will tell everyone I enjoyed it I was kind of hoping that I can now my parents come up thereica but they have 2 little laptops I was going to see if that was OK they hardly bark

10/10

We saw deer, elk, eagles and seals without even leaving the neighborhood. Close to many adventures and restaurants on the coast and it's a peaceful place to relax at night or watching the rain during the day.

We had a lovely time at the house: lots to do (loft and all the faves were fun for kids to play in). Easy access to grocery, attractions, hikes, beach and restaurants (we took short trips to Lincoln City, Neskowin and Depoe Bay). The house would improve greatly with some repairs (screen door broken, and stuck, blinds that worked half of the time, etc). Our teenager loved the separate spot to chill, with the closeness to share meals and shower. A lovely time for all.

Great clean place overall in good location. Place needs some maintenance, due to its age but was not as much of an issue with short stay.
