The Teppenacki and afternoon tea at the hotel aee world class top notch (locals good for special occasions) and priced accordingly. Staff are the friendliest we have met in all of Japan. "

"A very unique hotel renovated from a history bank building. Enjoyed the interesting hotel experience merging of modern use of amenities and management in an old setting. There are two towers. We stayed in the vintage building. It kept the bank wall and door deco in dark brown and white. The room is not bad in size, very big kind size bad and clean overall. The bathroom has separate toilet, a comfy tub and big shower space right on the side. Good water power. Suggest to have a stool. A little slow in draining for the tub after my hot tub. And a little mold around a few tiles but I think it is acceptable since it is an old building. Overall the whole room is not rusty, but well kept and clean, with good ventilation. Face care amenities need to pay while other bathroom amenities and tea are free to take. Our premium deluxe room with club access adds on my interesting experience to the night lounge which is decorated with lots of classical oil lamps and music boxes. You can choose music box you like to bring to your room to listen and return when check out. The girl staff (fnot sure exact full name but it started with Tam….) at reception on our check in time between 4:80-5:15 pm on 9/7. She was comparatively ok to communicate in English. She was so friendly, helpful and patiently explained & recommended about tourist attractions and spent a long time to help us book a boat ride tour for the next day. The breakfast buffet is worth to have. Good tasre and varieties."

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Grid Premium Otaru and I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way! The location is absolutely unbeatable—everything you could need or want to visit is just a short walk away. Whether you're looking for restaurants, shops, or local attractions, it's all within easy reach, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. My room was spacious for 4 pax, with modern decor and all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always willing to help with any request or recommendation. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and pleasant place to stay. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!"

"Great location near the scenic canal. A stone’s throw from the four major museums of the city. Lots of dinner options nearby. Vicinity to the bus stop to Mt Tengu or the train station. Breakfast was great even for the already high standards of Japanese hotel breakfasts. Very satisfied! One suggestion: Should have more than one or two English tv channels if you want to serve more international clientele."

"Exceptional hospitality, food, and amenities - It's a highlight of our trip. When we arrived at property, almost entire staff greeted us on the street by the entrance. Kaiseki meals were wonderful. The second floor recreation room was a happy place to be -Zen garden view, delicious snacks, drinks, and late night soup... The rooms were clean and spacious. Onsen pools were nice, especially the roof top one. We look forward to our next trip there"

"Charming and wonderful hotel. We stayed in a loft room, which was clean and had a great view. The parking was adjacent, and it was only a few minutes on foot to the canal and tourist attractions, which made my 80-year-old mother, who has mobility issues, very happy. The breakfast for my daughter with multiple allergies was also adjusted to her needs, which was a big help. The bar right as you enter had a great atmosphere, and we enjoyed local whiskies such as Yoichi, which can only be found there. The only issues were that the wall-projection TV was a bit confusing to use and the changing room was slightly cramped. We will definitely stay here again next time. Thank you for your hospitality."
