"This hotel is in a convenient location for walking to see the sights and is close to the ferry to Stavanger and Denmark. The buffet breakfast has anything you can dream of, a spread of an unbelievable amount and variety of food. Eggs several ways, meat, bacon, pastries, bread, crackers, cheeses, fruit, hot and cold cereals, crepes, yogurts, potatoes, smoked salmon, vegetables, tasty juices, etc. The lobby is spacious and has ample stylish seating. Our room had a desk, seating and a view of one of the hills from large windows. This is a very comfortable place to stay with good beds and accommodating staff."

"Tv was not working and no tech to fix it over the weekend. 1 staff member helpful with problem solving. Another not. Day staff on Saturday very helpful."

"Room was very warm, despite it not being warm out. Breakfast is good but is a bit of a mess mess, starts at 7am by which there is already a big queue. Anyone can walk in to breakfast without name being checked. Location is perfect though, easy to get from the airport. Clean, rooms good size. Slightly noisy but nothing too bad."

"A tranquil, soul-cleansing stay near Bergen — highly recommend My family stayed at Villa Blue View Apartment for 5 days in August 2026, as the last stop on our Scandinavian trip. We chose it for its proximity to Bergen City, easy access to hiking trails, and being right on the water — and it exceeded every expectation. Frode and Svanhild, the owners, welcomed us with real warmth. We spent wonderful time getting to know their family, and it gave the whole stay a personal, homey feel that's rare to find. As a family from NYC, the quiet and stillness of the property felt like a genuine detox — my 8-year-old spent his days "fishing" by the water and feeding the two resident swans that stopped by daily for a snack. Such a simple joy, and one of his favorite memories from the trip. If you don't have a car and want to properly unplug, this place is ideal. Frode even offered to drive us to the grocery store and to the bus stop for a day trip into Bergen (about 30 minutes away) — that kind of thoughtfulness made a big difference. We loved our stay and would recommend Villa Blue View to any family looking for a peaceful, authentic Norwegian experience near Bergen."
